Want to spend money on used Y, is it good deal?

I don’t understand the hesitation between HW 3 and HW4. Yes they say to get the most of FSD when it’s finished, you’ll need HW4 but we have no idea when that will be tbh.  HW3 works fine and will be more than enough for the time you own the car.  That seems like a good deal, however, it being a 2020, you will have the Intel GPU not the AMD Ryzen. You will not have heated wheel or wipers. You will have the pre refresh center console. If these things aren’t an issue, I would say the price is fair.  You may be able to get it a little cheaper tbh I would try finding a ‘22 or newer.  That’s my opinion from owning a ‘21 Y LR AWD

Yeah my thoughts were for fsd, that not that bad.

you can get a used HW4 MY from Tesla for about $27k - that would be my choice

Truthfully, HW3 is sufficient for commuting. As long as it can last you another 100k miles, it’s worth it

Mileage is nothing for teslas. There’s some maintenance you’ll need to do filters, tires, maybe brakes depending on the previous owner. The only real concern is the battery health and drivetrain which you still have 2 years on warranty. Also the suspension; bushings, arms, etc. how the previous owner(s) drove it will weigh on the health of these parts. Also check for rust/corrosion underneath. HW3 is good enough to use; idk if the 2020 has the eye camera. Jiggling the wheel every 30 sec annoys me but i’ll take it for free any day over autopilot/steer/cruise control. If HW3 fsd is your first you will LOVE IT. Unfortunately I also have HW4 on wife’s car and I know how much better it is bc I’ve been using it til I got my 2020 MS.

someone said that Elon promised upgrade everyone HW3 to HW4 if you purchased FSD. But i am getting conflicting info - because majority seems like it will never happen.
