Best timeline for new MY order

Will be moving to California at end of June and was planning on getting a new MY. I've seen delivery times span from weeks to months. What would be the ideal time for me to order online to ensure I can have my vehicle delivered as close to my move date as possible? Would it be possible to order early and just keep pushing the delivery date back until I've moved?

It will heavily depend on the configuration you get. Deliveries for Premium AWD and Perfomance have slipped to end of March now. Check current new inventory to see if there’s one that matches your configuration and that will mean your delivery date might be close to 1-2 weeks.

Eh, that wasn't my experience. I just ordered 1.5 weeks ago, had an estimated wait for a premium AWD as 2-3 weeks, but it's available to pick up now.

It really just depends on your location. I live 5 minutes away from the factory and it took them a little less than 2 weeks from order to delivery.

if you order from inventory, it is a lot faster. our MY was already on site at the tesla store and i had a hard time convincing them to let me wait to pick it up on the weekend. my M3LR was 'in transit arriving soon' when i ordered it and my appointment kept getting rescheduled because the transport truck was running late, so YMMV
