Lowering springs question

LoveM3zz | 2026-02-20 20:42 | 15 views

I’m looking to grab some lowering springs, but not sure which one people recommend. Either Unplugged performance Or Eibach And why? Thanks!

Neither. Tried eibach and they sucked. Just spend the extra money on MPP comfort coilovers. Labor will cost the same.

Curious what % tint that is on the windshield?

Omacrontron 2026-02-20 22:20

Second this. They even make some parts in black now if that’s your thing.

I dunno, but the chick-fil-a box is bigger than a 30 count of nuggets, l can tell you that much. Source: I just consumed a 30 count.

What version of the year/model 3 variant do you have and what didn’t you like about Eibach. I installed them and they are perfect in every way. Balanced the uneven wheel gap that’s different between front and rear, retained stock rates, comfortable and absolutely no difference to oem so far.

I have a 2023. They were too stiff and squeaks drove me nuts. Other aftermarket Tesla shops that sell eibach springs won’t recommend them either. I heard they work better with the highlands tho.

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:00

Ah ok, they are among the best for the highland. I don’t have experience with others but have discussed with others who have. In SoCal many shops will only recommend these over others for the highland.

Yea I went with black for mine. Same with MPP parts in all black.

Which shops? Unplugged and P3X performance won’t.

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:03

P3X sells the eibachs directly from their shop lol. They offer packages which all only include eibachs also. They use them on their vehicles too. https://p3xperformance.com/suspension-upgrades/

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:06

With P3X it’s either Eibach springs or a coilover alternative. I don’t even see other springs on the site.

James_the_bull_ 2026-02-22 23:06

I said they sold them but won’t really recommend them over coilovers. It’s for people on a budget. Again, I had them, i had issues and told them, they said many people have the same issues and try to steer them towards coilovers instead and some people just don’t have the extra budget.

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:10

No dude…they don’t say that all. Stop spreading misinformation. Many people hate coil overs and springs are fine. Coilovers are usually for handling and track use, not for just lowering a car and retaining comfort. I spoke in detail with them and they recommended Eibach over other companies they deal with. The price is hardly any difference and they love MPP. It’s like a difference of 10 bucks. Neither MPP or UP even out the difference between rear and front wheel gap as good as the eibachs either. Again we were discussing springs only just like the OP is here.

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:11

You had them on a non highland. Everything I shared was for the highland as stated earlier also.

James_the_bull_ 2026-02-22 23:15

Right Hanna lied to me. Your spring mounts will be crooked bc the springs don’t end at the same place as stock. Speaking specifically for preHL. They wont say straight up they’re shit bc they want the business. They steer into coilovers bc they’re better, not everyone can spend $3k. I’m not reading your book.

Suvi2k 2026-02-22 23:20

The pre highland drop is significantly different than the highland. I don’t think they lied to you. I’ve seen a few done and it’s way too low so it makes sense for them not to recommend it for pre higglands. Im not going to debate with you about coilovers being better than springs, it’s a preference and has trade offs. I have used everything from teins to ohlins and for my daily, non track use car, alway prefer springs.
