Do all third party ambient lighting kits eventually die out after 12+ months?

2025 MY here. I want to buy an ambient lighting kit, specifically this laser engraved one from EV base because it looks OEM. But I’ve heard third party kits usually always give out past a year or so out. Is this accurate?

Junipers have that ambient lighting set up. I have a 2025, literally right before the Juniper, which are 2026 model years technically. That’s why said 2025 lol

No one has ever said all third party kits die after one year lol. Ok maybe one person has said that but that’s not the vibe at all in the forums .

No you got a bad batch. I’ve been using cheap ones from AliExpress that I’ve setup myself and they have been running for almost 3 years now

I had my laser engraved ambient lights in my 3 for over 2 years now, they are very much fine and as vibrant as day 1
