Is that what pumps the stock by 3% today?

Engunnear 2026-02-25 14:37

*remotely supervised

MarchMurky8649 2026-02-25 14:45

[People getting excited about Optimus](https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/has-teslas-iphone-moment-arrived), perhaps? None of it makes any sense to me!

EarthConservation 2026-02-25 14:47

General market consolidation rally; likely before a bigger move down in March/April.

shiroandae 2026-02-25 14:47

Wait, they have one??????

donolinio 2026-02-25 14:53

The stock price simply doesn’t care. The news can be as bad as it wants, and the price still goes up. Elon has surely arranged continuous stock purchases through some third parties. A higher stock price = more personal wealth for him, since most of his wealth is tied to Tesla’s share price. I hope this house of cards collapses at some point. But the chances are slim.

MarchMurky8649 2026-02-25 15:14

Someone in the YouTube comments suggested Elon Musk personally remotely drives it himself, which is why there is only one and why it doesn't operate at all much of the time.

MarchMurky8649 2026-02-25 15:19

Surely it must collapse at some point, it's just tricky working out when. With subsidies gone, brand damaged, lack of new models that could make a profit, etc., how much longer will they be able to maintain positive earnings, absent which the S&P Index Committee could delist them, for example?

FlipZip69 2026-02-25 15:33

There have been overall drops. Just when a large drop, you see a smaller increase and there is money to be made in that. Day traders love it if they can time it well.

FlipZip69 2026-02-25 15:34

It is not going up though. These are prices that it was at in 2022. It up and downs but on average no one is making money in a period when markets did good. Ya it is wildly overvalued but with inflation, you on average been loosing money since 2022.

brintoul 2026-02-25 16:26

There’s so much stupid going on there it nearly brought me to my knees.

beagles4ever 2026-02-25 16:28

The market can stay irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

levon999 2026-02-25 16:44

Is this video accurate?

cban_3489 2026-02-25 17:03

8 actually https://robotaxitracker.com/

Confident-Sector2660 2026-02-25 17:37

not remotely supervised. One of them drove into a construction zone and no one did anything. Meaning they were not watching. it did not seem like they had any driving abilities either

Moo1080 2026-02-25 17:49

If other companies flat out beat Tesla on self driving and robots , won’t that be it? I mean down the road not now where it’s debatable, wouldn’t those stocks soar and Tesla diminish?

Dull-Credit-897 2026-02-25 18:02

You forgot to watch the video,

shiroandae 2026-02-25 18:34

Yeah I’ll definitely trust this site, because the creator used it to get an internship at Tesla and has zero incentive to make the company look better than it is.

ionizing_chicanery 2026-02-25 18:43

"Unsupervised" almost certainly with dedicated telemonitoring and remote stop, on a very limited and highly characterized route, that only runs during day time, in clear weather and at low speeds. Basically enough to make sure it won't cause severe damage or injury when it fucks up.

donolinio 2026-02-25 18:49

I don’t believe that anymore. Then Elon will just pull some other nonsensical bullshit out of his hat. He’s already trying it with data centers in space and the flying Roadster. In the future, it’ll be brain implants for different foreign languages, or Optimus will soon reach 100 times the intelligence because xAI and SpaceX have found traces of a new mineral on the moon. It just goes on and on.

Moo1080 2026-02-25 18:50

Oh yeah … 🤦🏻‍♂️

xMagnis 2026-02-25 19:33

Whether they run one or a few, it is entirely unclear how they are managing this system. It could be monitored with someone's hand on the stop button, or they might not. They also might not pay full attention. There is no public awareness of their safety culture. It's possible they have declared what they are doing to the NHTSA or various Congress/Senators' questions, but Tesla has NOT informed the public, nor have we seen the unredacted responses. With this level of secrecy I choose to believe that Tesla is acting in bad-faith and is controlling this system in an unsafe safety culture. I have seen no evidence to change my mind.

gadhalund 2026-02-25 20:01

Safety culture?

xMagnis 2026-02-25 20:16

Yeah safety is certainly not Tesla's primary focus. And/or they have no idea how to properly set up a safety system. Their FSD and Robotaxi systems rely on a computer AI that still makes mistakes and a group of safety monitors that may or may not be paying full attention at any particular time.

DroppKneeeDeee 2026-02-25 21:55

FWIW, once you break down this site, it really doesn't look great for Tesla. Currently looking at it with a 22 minute wait time for a Tesla robotaxi in ATX, though this is the highest I've seen. Usually, it sits around 16-18 minutes. It also shows last time a vehicle was last spotted. Yes, it does say 8 unsupervised vehicles, but several of them were spotted over a month ago. The data analysis has bias, but the data itself is useful.

za72 2026-02-25 22:11

contractual obligation met...

AdKey5735 2026-02-26 01:03

obviously a "grassy knoll" advocate here. smh

AdKey5735 2026-02-26 01:04

my favorite software mutual fund that brought regular double digit returns for over a decade has declined 40% in the past year. tesla's doing quite a bit better.

FlipZip69 2026-02-26 03:36

Well imagine that. Other stocks and funds have done poor as well.

Brenicememinge02 2026-02-26 04:01

Exactly.

Numerous-Match-1713 2026-02-26 05:33

I think people are misunderstanding this, there is not a single remote operator for each robotaxi, that would be just wildly crazy. In fact, there are multiple drivers and observers + multiple chase cars + most likely strategic safety observers posted at key intersections. It scales like fart scales in Sahara.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-02-26 06:19

Lol thanks for sharing. How much is TSLA paying for these random hype articles?

ShotBandicoot7 2026-02-26 06:30

Bigger move down broad market or TSLA specifically? What‘s the catalyst for it?

Zedilt 2026-02-28 00:59

It's all AI, Actually Indian**.**

Busy-Explanation4339 2026-02-28 10:34

>Basically enough to ~~make sure it won't cause severe damage or injury when it fucks up~~ continue the charade that it's an actual functional service and continue to pump the stock. ftfy
