Well that's not possible because Tesla does not make any self-driving cars, what they meant to say is "Tesla investigated for cars with SAE Level 2 driver assistance cruise control system called 'Full Self-Driving' that is not capable of fully self driving on the wrong side of the road".
They should be investigated for far more than that
You mean "Schrödingers full self driving"?
I prefer to think of it as a pure oxymoron, since its official name is "Full Self-Driving (supervised)". It's like "Free Beer! ($7.99)".
It's only self driving until you buy it. After that it transforms into a driving assistant requiring full driver oversight and responsibilty
A car guy once told me, no other CEO would be crazy enough to call it full self driving, as their company could be sued into oblivion. And adding full to self driving was a BS addon. Self driving should be enough.
Maybe the roads are wrong, ever consider that, a-hmmmm?
Elmo will start a company that switches road Lanes for Teslas. Probably be valued at 10 trillion dollars in the first quarter.
The funny thing is there's only 8 million lane-miles of public road in the US, so if it took spending $10,000 per lane-mile to do whatever was needed to unlock ADAS 4 (paint, RFID, ...), that $80B capital investment would be a no-brainer for Tesla, assuming the previous $1.5T market cap the company was enjoying earlier this month wasn't just built on air -- stockholders have already lost ~2X that $80B in the drop this month, and there's a trillion-plus more where that came from.
It's the UK so all the cars are on the wrong side.
