Well no shit. Only the most fanboy of fanboys are invited to use it.

AdHairy4360 2025-06-23 02:25

Color me stunned

maclaren4l 2025-06-23 02:36

What is “stock pump event” for $400 Alex?

MeridianNL 2025-06-23 02:37

Once they rescue the first Tesla fanboy out of a mangled wreck “I still love the robotaxi!”

FrankLangellasBalls 2025-06-23 02:38

Wow, people trying to make a living off licking Elons nuts on Twitter like the robotaxi? Surprising!

RCA2CE 2025-06-23 02:52

The service area is so small it is ridiculous- what an absurd service to provide. They should just do food delivery with this - that would make much more sense in this limited area

cmoz226 2025-06-23 03:05

What are the odds of a fanboy saying they don’t like it? Answer: Astronomical

DonAmecho777 2025-06-23 03:12

It stinks!

MarchMurky8649 2025-06-23 03:18

Not sure when it was updated but article now includes a link to this: [https://www.reddit.com/r/SelfDrivingCars/comments/1li2cil/tesla\_robotaxi\_day\_1\_significant\_screwup\_not\_oc](https://www.reddit.com/r/SelfDrivingCars/comments/1li2cil/tesla_robotaxi_day_1_significant_screwup_not_oc) With so few rides, video already having been captured in full daylight, sans rain, sans fog, sans low-in-the-sky sun, with a car getting into a tizzy, ending up on the wrong side of a double solid line, driving into traffic, does little to cultivate confidence, to say the least!

ShotAngle5445 2025-06-23 03:25

You guys are jealous!!!

NivekTheGreat1 2025-06-23 03:51

You guys are worse than Elektek. You don’t like Elon's politics. I get that. But Tesla just made a huge leap forward in the realm of FSD. Just give them credit where it is due.

darkwingdankest 2025-06-23 03:54

not sure if you're lost buddy

AceMcLoud27 2025-06-23 04:09

They drove to Vegas and claimed being driven through a tiny tunnel at 30 mph was a transport revolution ...

Moceannl 2025-06-23 04:47

Until the first scratches or worse. I’ve seen videos how fast fsd can go wild, even a security person will be late.

Couch-Bro 2025-06-23 05:15

I am jealous. It must be so nice to waltz through life believing that there’s someone with all the answers and anyone who disagrees with them is just jealous. It must be blissful.

Dommccabe 2025-06-23 07:17

Hmm..tesla fans in Tesla cars and they like it??? Let's see how it goes when the accidents start and normal people use them and theres no "safety" guy.

winfredjj 2025-06-23 08:13

it covers 3% of Austin. 🤡

ZanoCat 2025-06-23 09:59

Well these people are basically in bed with Elon. It makes sense to appease Ketamine Man.

BidAccomplished4641 2025-06-23 10:35

One article I saw said a passenger tried the “customer support” button and it took over 2 minutes for an agent to answer… on launch day with only about 10 cars on the road. I suppose that’s good for Tesla customer service.

Beezelbubba 2025-06-23 11:14

Elon, who should we invite to the roll out? Industry execs, reporters and media? None of them, invite all the Dick Riders. All of them? ALL OF THEM! Cut me another line and get the fuck out, your fired.

FrogmanKouki 2025-06-23 11:34

Huge Leap! It was promised for cross country travel in 2017. With a million on the road in 2020. But hey they're driving a few blocks now. Huge leap! See how that had nothing to do with politics?

Surviverino 2025-06-23 11:42

Jeez that looks absolutely horrible. The car got lost as soon as it hit the intersection. Even went on the wrong lane. This is incredibly unsafe. So much for "FSD can drive safer than most humans".

Puzzleheaded-Sea8340 2025-06-23 14:39

Thank you. Exactly. Let’s get some real people in there to give it a try. Maybe not everyone isn’t interested in being dropped in the middle of an intersection

jflbball 2025-06-23 15:16

This group is as unintelligent as it gets. Just complainers trying to find something to blame their misery on. 99% of them have never driven in a Tesla they just choke on their own hate-vomit. This is a company that's pushed the envelope so far we have a self-driving taxi service on a stock version of the world's best selling car. Yet they will still find something to criticize.

jflbball 2025-06-23 15:18

Have you used fsd?

Moceannl 2025-06-23 15:26

Yes already 6 years.

jflbball 2025-06-23 16:03

What model and hardware?

jflbball 2025-06-23 16:06

Do you think it would be a good idea if they started in a small area to see how it works first, and then they'll expand it?

fastLT1 2025-06-23 17:30

3%??? LOL, what is that 6 square blocks? 🤣

donttakerhisthewrong 2025-06-23 18:21

How is it a leaps ahead of Waymo?

NivekTheGreat1 2025-06-23 18:31

I don’t know how you’re using it. I’ve driven on suburban roads with no issues. Think my longest trip was about an hour.

BrendanAriki 2025-06-23 19:08

Sure. But only if Elon didn't promise a fully autonomous coast to coast trip in by 2017. Tesla's major problem is trying to live up to Elon's bullshit. Eventually our lies catch up with us.

BrendanAriki 2025-06-23 19:11

Ewwww.

Loud_Ad3666 2025-06-23 19:12

There should be enhanced tickets for autonomous vehicles breaking traffic laws and putting people in danger. Something that hurts the pocket book so it's not just 'pay to play' when people's lives are at risk.

[deleted] 2025-06-23 19:13

[removed]

Loud_Ad3666 2025-06-23 19:14

Doesn't seem like a huge leap to me. Just looks like dangerous vehicles and incomplete software being forced onto the road of a major city, putting citizens lives at risk.

Loud_Ad3666 2025-06-23 19:15

So ya copied waymo what waymos had for years, just shittier and more dangerous? Wowee so impressive!

[deleted] 2025-06-24 02:30

Will be interesting to see how quickly they scale it. They certainly have plenty of excess inventory right now to put to work if they want to

Mac-Tyson 2025-06-24 03:50

I think unlike Waymo or Zoox it’s less about production output but more just how quickly they want to scale. Since the media will jump on any misstep they have which could end Tesla Robotaxi’s before it even begins.

DisastrousIncident75 2025-07-05 07:20

Yeah, and the call was very choppy and hard to hear and understand, like using a walkie talkie in world war 2.
