I'd guess any colors bespoke to the S/X will be discontinued when they use up their paint supply. Factory probably ran out.
~~Edit: looks like lots of colors are gone across the lineup. 3 and Y are only available in black, white, and grey. They don't even list red anymore.~~

But hey, at least we can but $20,000 robots now! Given Musk’s track record of getting big new products ready for sale in a timely manner, this transition from car company to robot company will go great.
Rav4Primer
2026-02-22 00:59
Not to mention, his record of wildly overestimating demand for products. He planned to scale Tesla to produce 500k Cybertrucks per year and they only managed to sell 20k in 2025 (half of what they sold in 2024).
The Tesla Semi seems to have few buyers - who do they envision is going to buy these robots in large quantities in the next year or two?

You are confused with supply vs demand. Texas gigafactory has the design capacity for CT to be over 500k if the demand reaches. It's the demand that didn't reach that level, not supply.
I suggest you to understand the basic of supply vs demand

Patronizing. Cute. I understand the difference.
Elon both estimated sales (demand) of up to 500k per year and touted that they had the ability to meet that (very wrong) forecast.

Shrug. Can't remember the last time I saw a S or X on the road. I see 3's and Y's everyday.
Maybe one day they'll come back in some limited capacity but I fully understand why they are doing this and agree with it. I'm sure the sales numbers support it.
Hopefully they're will be a push to an even cheaper model one day
Edit: you can downvote all your want, considering it only sold 5k models last quarter just shows it's a niche car. This is the same thing as people never going to a restaurant then crying when the restaurant closes

They’re not wrong, it’s not that Tesla *can’t* produce 500k CTs a year, demand has simply never warranted doing so.
And tbf to Elon, he actually said anywhere from 250k to 500k.

The robots, like the self driving Waymos, will actually be most likely run by teams of guys in the Philippines and India. Think about that when you “program” it to fold your laundry, wipe your ass, or jerk you off. It’s actually just a guy in a sweatshop half a world away with a remote control.

Braindead take. S/X were never meant to be common, they're halo cars. How many Mercedes S-Class do you see on the road? Mercedes sold only 5,000 units in the US in 2025 and it's not killing off its flagship sedan due to poor sales.

I mean, yeah there are more 3s and Ys, but out of the 5 Teslas I see at every intersection, generally one of them is an S or an X. Hell just last night my friends parked next to an X and were waiting for another X to go by in the parking lot to cross. This isn’t even in California either, and about 15 miles away from the closest SC.

Physical_Reason3890
2026-02-22 16:28
That's interesting. But the numbers still support what I was saying. Just ~2.7 % of cars sold were S/X/CT in q4 2025. On the year it's about 3% of total sales. That's bad, real bad. These cars are not selling

I see ‘em quite often, which is surprising given how expensive they are.
This move has been a long time coming, the S and X were just a means to an end. Tesla has no interest in the luxury car market.

No. They connect to human drivers when they get stuck or something. But they are absolutely autonomous. I’ve been in one that got stuck in a round-a-bout it just went around and around and around. I had to push a button on the dash and it connected with someone that drove it out of the intersection, then the robot took back over and they comped my ride.
