Oh, good. 14.1.3 is timid about pulling out from a stop and hesitates poking the brakes.

tylercorsair 2025-10-25 22:54

So far it appears that this wave is only going out to vehicles already on V14.1.3 (2025.32.8.15) based on data from our platform. But as with the prior build, we should see vehicles on 2025.32.8 and earlier receive this next wave (within 12-72 hours). So that it's not mentioned over and over, two subsequent waves have gone out and now includes vehicles originally on V13. :)

ChymChymX 2025-10-25 22:58

I am still waiting for base 14.x. What percentage of the eligible fleet has it?

tylercorsair 2025-10-25 23:00

Just about 30% of eligible vehicles (AI4, in the US/Mexico, and has FSD) received V14.1.3 before it was paused.

ChymChymX 2025-10-25 23:08

Thank you!

D1TAC 2025-10-25 23:25

Yeah this is a must need asap.

GO__NAVY 2025-10-26 02:10

24MX/25M3 both with 13.2.9 and waiting…

OregonTerrain 2025-10-26 04:02

Installing 2025.32.8.16 right now on my 23MY coming from 2025.32.8 (did not have FSDv14 before this) I was on FSDv13. Don’t know how I got so lucky, hopefully the brake stabbing and other issues are ironed out more! Edit: Went for a 45 minute drive. I live out in the country so it was mostly backroads, we’re currently experiencing a terrible windstorm so there’s road debris everywhere. The car demonstrated the best self-driving I’ve ever experienced by FSD, it felt exactly how I’d drive in the same situation, I couldn’t be more impressed! In every profile I experienced exactly what I’d expect it to do: - Sloth mode: drove at or near the speed limit - Chill mode: drove around the speed limit and no more than about 5 over, also did a great job slowing the car down to reasonable speeds when I flipped into the profile if I felt the other profiles were going too fast - standard mode: drove 5-10mph over the speed limit the entire time where appropriate and never really dropped below the speed limit except in corners - hurry mode: sped a solid 5-10+ over consistently, got up to speed quickly and was more aggressive on corner braking, almost felt too quick for my taste. At one point I was going 70 in a 55 on backroads during heavy rain - mad max: didn’t get a chance to really test this mode as hurry was too quick in the rain. I didn’t notice a major speed difference between this and hurry, could have been due to conditions. Further testing needed! Major improvements in handling all situations on the road. There were downed branches and debris all over the road and the car would see them far ahead and plan accordingly, it even ended up going completely into the other lane to avoid a downed limb that was blocking most of my lane of travel. Cornering is massively improved, no more super slow granny corners. The car would ease into high speed corners and pick right back up on speed just as I would. Slow corners such as turning into neighborhoods and driveways felt much smoother and faster, the car is definitely more confident. Stop signs are much improved although still needs a smidge of work. FSD now approaches stop signs at a more respectful rate rather than taking forever to reach the line and finally stop. It also seemed to take off faster from the stop, I did not notice any brake stabbing, as others have described in previous versions of v14.1.x, whatsoever. Improvements could be made with stop line approach and the slow creeping that follows finally reaching sight-line for the side cameras before rolling into a takeoff again. This is huge strides for the future of FSD! I do not have the front bumper camera on my 23MY so I’m curious to hear feedback for more things from front bumper camera owners. I haven’t had a chance to test parking or destination options yet, I’ll do more of that during my commute this coming week. Something to note is FSD would never pull into or out of my driveway in the past due it’s odd shape and being a wide gravel entrance - it now pulls out of my driveway very smoothly and navigates the odd shape. It also pulled into my driveway when I arrived back home but was confused on where to park so it stuck me somewhere nearby other vehicles. Edit 2: Went for many drives today, drained the battery to 20%. Brake stabbing did occur still but only a small handful of times throughout the whole days drive. - Incidents mostly occurred around poorly maintained roads, it felt like the car was slowing down to assess the road and determine if it was a pothole to avoid, more-so than random slamming on the brakes for no reason - This version feels more timid with blind spots, probably a good thing. A panel van turning left in the center lane, from my direction of travel, blocked FSDs vision of another car turning into the center lane from a side-road, causing it to brake hard and begin turning away from the center lane to avoid a “predicted accident” which felt unsettling as it’s a normal behavior for people to pull into the center lane. Destination options are cool but very limited, definitely need more work. - “Curbside parking” parked a solid 2ish ft away from the curb, a rookie parking job. Went through a drive-thru with 2 windows and FSD handled it well. - I did not test the park in a parking lot feature at this time; I will tomorrow. Driving overall: - Massively improved, this is how humans drive and the car is finally feeling truly human. I did not push the pedal to speed up the car once today. A normal drive on v13 would be a game of “how frequently do I need to push this thing, are you serious right now?” So a very welcome improvement. - Zero disengagements today, sans parking in my driveway, truly a win for FSD! - The car finally speeds. I took very difficult, windy and complex roads today to really test how confident FSD is now. It corners very well and somehow smoother than I would expect. It eases into the brakes and accelerates with some gusto, I cannot emphasize enough how nice this feels. Mad Max mode: - Wow, this mode is CONFIDENT in its ability. I like to move quickly but this mode just pushes the capabilities of FSD. I’m impressed with how aggressive the car will take corners and get right back up to 10mph over. This is a very sporty driving mode, it’s exciting and makes you pucker sometimes. I keep my hands on the wheel for this one in some corners. Time will tell if I can trust it. - I did not test this on a highway system as I do not typically travel on the highway during my commute so this portion of the review may take a while before I can test it. TL:DR - FSD v14.1.4 is worth it. I want to show more people how impressive this is - Brake stabbing has been reduced dramatically but is not completely gone - Driving modes are amazing and respond the instant you switch to them so you know they’re working - The car finally speeds and maintains it without pushing the pedal constantly, never actually - Cornering is handled very well and no longer feels horribly slow - The car drives better than most humans I know

host65 2025-10-26 04:14

Summary: it’s still not ready

TeslaFan_ESQ 2025-10-26 04:58

Installing it now!

Greeneland 2025-10-26 05:02

Chuck posted a comment that it seemed smooth, no brake stabbing. He also tried a parking impossible test but when someone in a handicap spot left it took it.

rekraPreteP 2025-10-26 06:39

I just got the 2025.32.8.16 update. I was on V13.2.9 (2025.32.6) prior to the update.

tylercorsair 2025-10-26 07:02

Glad to hear that! Yeah, a subsequent wave occurred that finally expanded to new vehicles.

musicgecko 2025-10-26 07:25

25MY still on 13.2.9, hopefully can be part of the next rollout

standardphysics 2025-10-26 08:01

Hoping so. I've been on 2025.32.8 for a while now. Not a big deal, but it's clear they've held us back for the inevitable V14, but things haven't gone wide enough still. Update: received it the next day.

tylercorsair 2025-10-26 09:36

Since this post, another wave went out including those on 2025.32.8! https://teslascope.com/software/2025.32.8.16

Still on v14. Not sure what the hold up is :(

What a detailed review thank you! I pick up my model Y 2 days ago still stuck at 2025.32.300.070 and v13.2.9

nomis_nehc 2025-10-26 11:56

2025 Model S, got it last night.

They changed it so speed is controlled by mode and can’t directly be adjusted. Sloth mode will follow the speed limit https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/3243/tesla-launches-fsd-v1412-brings-back-mad-max-mode

famousmike444 2025-10-26 14:22

Great I'm On v14. 1.3 and FSD experience was not good. I can't even get it to start again, no warnings no alerts or just won't start.

Baby-Warrior 2025-10-26 15:02

My 2026 MY tried to stop every yellow light, no matter how close to the stop line, even if I was in an intersection yesterday…

shaggy99 2025-10-26 15:06

Thanks, good, thorough review. Do you post any videos? > Cornering is massively improved, no more super slow granny corners. The car would ease into high speed corners and pick right back up on speed just as I would. Slow corners such as turning into neighborhoods and driveways felt much smoother and faster, the car is definitely more confident. Has anyone noticed any feedback from the car about lack of grip? Such as, "Please check tire wear" in wet conditions?

EffectiveAcademic123 2025-10-26 15:07

Will I still need to keep my hand on the steering wheel? 😉

ProjectLogic 2025-10-26 18:06

I just downloaded 14.1.3. Have not installed it yet. Will 14.1.4 automatically be pushed to my car or do I install 14.1.3 first and then wait for 14.1.4?

SteelMagnolia06 2025-10-26 18:10

I received a warning of FSD abuse which I never received before. This new version seems far more adamant about attention than prior versions.

merkhet 2025-10-26 19:23

Same Q here. I don’t want the brake stabbing issue so I haven’t installed 14.1.3 — hoping I might just get a 14.1.4 notification and then can jump straight from 13.2.9 to 14.1.4…

nomis_nehc 2025-10-26 19:43

Went out for two short drives this morning, and have to say overall definitely an improvement! It even pulled into my garage, which is a first. Having said that, I did notice slight hesitation when there's vehicle that exhibit movements that might alter your course, so I can see where they're going with this in terms of more "human-like" decision making. It wasn't bad, not full on braking, but definitely noticed the hesitation.

kdmasud 2025-10-26 20:17

My x just got it today, had 13 before

Seansong82 2025-10-26 20:43

Not true! I got it last night coming straight from v13.

Seansong82 2025-10-26 20:45

Dude, you hit the nail on the head!! That’s how I feel in my M3P!!

tylercorsair 2025-10-26 20:45

Yes, a subsequent wave occurred. :)

MailliwTterb 2025-10-26 21:15

Mine is on 13.2.9 and I just got the prompt for 2025.32.8.16 (gonna wait)

CafeElectric 2025-10-26 21:24

Expanding. Mine is just now downloading, I was on V13 in my 23 HW4 Y.

secondoptionusername 2025-10-27 00:01

They should add an option for FSD to back-in park into a driveway. It would be helpful for two reasons: 1. My driveway is fairly steep, and when I park nose-in, the doors tend to swing closed on passengers (especially kids and elderly parents) as they enter or exit. Back-in parking prevents this. 2. My home charger is positioned such that I need to back into the driveway to charge, since parking in the garage isn’t an option. Adding a back-in driveway parking option would solve both of these issues. This means for the time being I have to take over FSD to park at home. How to send them this feedback?

Astigpgriff 2025-10-27 00:12

I just got 14.1.3 last week and it is way worse than the previous version. I can’t go anywhere without insane swerving as if it see something in the road. Even on the freeway going 75 it will swerve randomly and freak everyone out in the car. I wish I could roll back to the previous version because I don’t like using FSD now.

NoCarpenter456 2025-10-27 00:53

Just got the update directly from 13.2.9.. 24 MY. Have not tested yet, but my only reason for receiving I imagine is having "advanced" ticked in my update settings. My first test will be tomorrow, my daily drive to and from work using FSD the entire tim, less silly navigation overrides. It has reliably taken me from downtown portland, OR to vancouver, WA for work with no inteventions since 13.2.9. Hoping that updating wasn't a mistake.. I had made the assumption that if issues were still prevalent on 14.1.3, 14.1.4 would target them directly. We will see!

pastanate 2025-10-27 01:54

Sloth drives the speed limit. Chill 2 above standard 7-10. There MUST be a way to set a speed limit. Tickets will be flying for tesla drivers here soon. Its ridiculously stupid you CANT set a speed limit.

propofoln 2025-10-27 02:05

Yeah. Notice the super sudden lane change on highway. Scared me when it did it. Other times it switches lanes nice and chill

weiga 2025-10-27 02:41

You pay that price to upgrade! /s

amoeba1126 2025-10-27 04:16

Here I am still waiting sadly on v13 LOL

OregonTerrain 2025-10-27 05:54

I have been thinking about getting into making some review videos for FSD. AiDriver on YouTube has inspired a lot of my passion for FSD and its development over time. He has fair weather and California road data down there but doesn’t get much opportunity to drive in rain and heavy windstorms with road debris and country roads like up in Oregon so I was thinking it’d be good, unmapped review territory. I just purchased Michelin CrossClimate 2s for my AWD. They grip the road very well, I have not had any traction warnings even in heavy rain.

onegunzo 2025-10-27 11:22

Great review thank you. Does it recognize the actual speed limit? Where I am, it's about 60% correct. The other 40% it does NOT properly recognize the speed limit (I'm on V12 - HW3). Hence your initial comments above saying, it matches the posted speed limit or slightly above, wouldn't help me :(

folterung 2025-10-27 13:48

Got 14.14 this morning and it is still timid. Pokes the brakes for reasons I can’t understand. In addition, navigation has regressed badly. It drove by my dog’s daycare, a place we’ve got hundreds of times on version 13, and took the road next to it that leads to an elementary school. My next stop was work, again a place I’ve been hundreds of times on FSD and it tried to take me through the parking lot of the adjacent company, which would’ve required driving through a fairly formidable wall. Overall, so far, this is a downgrade

Vivid_Towel_3362 2025-10-27 13:50

So should I update or wait? On version fsd 13.2.9 (absolutely love it with no issues) still but received notification this morning that 2025.32.8.16 was ready which has fsd 14.1.4. If there are issues I'd rather stick to what I have before updating. 24 M3LR

Opening_Surround2598 2025-10-27 14:54

I’ve got a 2026 Model Y and a 2025 M3P. I’ve been using FSD 13 almost all the time, and I really enjoy it! I got the 14.1.3 update on my Model Y, but the fathom braking is a bit rough. I recently got 14.1.4 on my M3P from version 13, and I still felt like it didn’t quite improve braking or the overall ride feel. After a YouTuber suggested recalibration, it’s a lot better! Just so you know, I tried recalibration on my Model Y with 14.1.3, and it didn’t work out. I’m hoping for another update or at least 14.1.4 for it. Just a lil background I drive about 38 miles (76 total) each way daily to Tuskegee, AL on I85.

majesticjg 2025-10-27 15:32

I had that, too, then it downloaded a map data update and it seems a bit improved. I haven't used it much, though. I think what we're really banging into is the difference between map data that contains addresses versus one that maps out parking lots, etc. I suspect that map data is going to get a lot of improvements as people are testing with this version. I have 14.1.3 and I'm hoping that when I nudge it with the accelerator, that gets reported to Tesla to improve the next iteration. I get the distinct impression that this version could be "it" for FSD, but, as with any complete model replacement, it's going to take some refinement.

folterung 2025-10-27 15:35

I did not think to look for a map update. I On the other hand, it just drove me to my doctors office. Found a parking spot while intelligently ignoring all the handicapped parking and then parked. When it works, it’s amazing.

shaggy99 2025-10-27 15:36

I would be interested in seeing more well done videos about FSD, especially in bad conditions. Please avoid click bait titles though. If you have new tires, I wouldn't expect any warnings, I'm wondering if FSD can, and will, pay attention to things like that.

bernieo47 2025-10-27 16:02

I just receive v14.1.4 , and too miss the Scroll Wheel for speed, But using it to change Speed Profiles is actually not that bad for me so far... I live at the end of a cul-de-sac with kids playing in their front yards and driveways. So, Sloth while on cul-de-sac, I then scroll up for Chill when leaving my street, and then scroll up/down etc. for Standard/Hurry when on the main roads. V13 was always too fast on my cul-de-sac even in Chill mode. I didn't think I would need it, but that Sloth mode is a welcome addition. With v13, I used the right Scroll Wheel to dismiss nags, but we can just use the left one to do the same.

tylercorsair 2025-10-27 16:08

No issues per se, just might feel some regression in comfort in this build.

HoangGoc 2025-10-27 16:08

Yeah, I've noticed that too. it's frustrating when it feels like the car is second-guessing itself instead of just going for it. Hopefully, this update helps with that hesitation...

Original_Contract318 2025-10-27 19:47

So I have 2025.32.8.16 but still FSD 13.2.9 and no Tron in the toy box.

OregonTerrain 2025-10-27 20:15

The map data update from a few days ago did fix a few speed zones but definitely did not fix all of them. I still encounter very inconsistent speed zones in areas I drive through daily. Some example such as: - 55 zone marked as 45 by the car (it still went 60+ on FSD though) - 35 zone marked as 25 one direction and 55 the other direction of travel on the same exact road. FSD decided to go around 40-45mph in this zone each time (which was appropriate) Hopefully this will improve, even though the speed limit readout on screen is wrong the car seems to go the right speed anyway. Edit: added context to some responses

drew231506 2025-10-27 20:46

FSD just drove around debris in the road. That’s a first for me. I use FSD all day every day and this is definitely taking some getting used to. It seems to hesitate and think more often. I don’t quite trust it yet. It has also missed a couple of easy turns that it would not have missed prior to this update And I don’t like not being able to set the top speed. The profiles from standard through Mad Max all go well over the speed limit. I’m doing 73 right now in a 55 on standard mode.

digiblur 2025-10-27 22:11

Need that 2025.38 merge now.

gamin09 2025-10-28 00:29

Cries in v12 you abandoned us v3s tesla

PM_TITS_FOR_KITTENS 2025-10-28 00:40

“The car drives better than most humans I know” 14.1.4 today slammed on the brakes for someone walking on a crosswalk on the side of the road not even in my direction, changed lanes 3 times in 20 seconds for no reason, parked in between a garage and an apartment access hallway, and on my way home from the store couldn’t tell if it wanted to stay in the middle lane or go to the left lane and shook the steering wheel back and forth for 3 seconds halfway between the lanes before choosing to stay in the middle only to change to the left lane 30 seconds later for my turn. This is not ready

Revolutionary_Ad9094 2025-10-28 02:00

14.1.4 '24 Model S Plaid....this thing drives like shit now. I frequently use FSD and I'm putting it in "time out" until they fix it. Lots of unnecessary braking, indecisive half lane changes...stopping 10' short of the stop line at an intersection with cars on the left and right at the correct position...oh, and hard braking on yellow lights...version 13 drove like a person and went through the intersection It drives like a teenager with a learner's permit. The one notable thing that was an improvement was; it will stop short of blocking intersections and parking entery/ egress... If you haven't received the update, you aren't missing anything.

Revolutionary_Ad9094 2025-10-28 02:47

Huge step back..drives like a teenager who's not confident in their decision making.

Revolutionary_Ad9094 2025-10-28 02:49

Honestly, the worst update since I purchased my '24 S this Jan....13 drove pretty safe and confident.. this update is so many steps back in a number of categories...brakes.. decision making...yellow lights.... terrible.

pcmATX 2025-10-28 19:05

That happens to me when the GPS is not stable, which unfortunately is usually true right after an update since it loses all its history that was wiped by the update. Should be better after a day unless you do short drives between garages that block signal.

ZeroWashu 2025-10-28 20:11

2025.32.8.16 is installing to my 26 MY currently, Georgia. Current version was 2505.32.8 with FSD 13.2.9 Will update when it completes, it started just around 330pm EST. Completed, 14.1.4 is installed.

sunmoon9x6 2025-10-28 20:20

I got my update today

DustinBrett 2025-10-28 20:26

When do we get Grok + FSD v14?

[deleted] 2025-10-28 22:10

Im getting 2025.32.8.16 right now, but I still have fsd v13.2.9

ZeroWashu 2025-10-29 00:57

if there a means to force map data updates? one issue I have always had with FSD is that it seems at times to have forgotten the speed limit data for roads it used to know. sometimes it comes back but more often than not it continues off with the last speed it knew from the previous road.

majesticjg 2025-10-29 01:03

I don't think so, but I haven't had a speed limit issue in a while.

esreborn 2025-10-29 17:31

Wish there was a way to remove the big button labeled “Start Self Driving”. It is unpleasant to see 24/7.

txking12 2025-10-30 00:01

I’m experiencing the same thing. It borderline won’t go at all stop sign even when there is plenty of space, or multiple lanes to turn in to. Don’t understand how it’s regressed so much.

EastCoastAV8R 2025-10-31 02:58

I’m very impressed with the improvements to in-city driving. Like another poster, I had it swerved to miss something (tie-down strap) in the lane while never being “triggered” by all the blowing leaves. The highway experience, however, is another story. I hate that touching the accelerator changes what profile it’s using. In previous versions, I could be in Chill and if it was going a little too slow I would nudge the “gas pedal” and it would speed up and would hold that for a while but remain in Chill. Now if I do the same thing, it will jump to Standard or higher and start changing lanes. We’ve lost a valuable way to communicate our wishes to the autopilot.

FewHousing6005 2025-10-31 11:15

lol make me feel better stucking with V12.

notabear87 2025-10-31 13:23

Does this fix auto shift? It straight up doesn’t work for me after reversing. Have to manually shift.

Z7N6Qo 2025-10-31 19:45

I have this version, and its an absolute regression in comfort and windshield wiper behaviors. I usually drive in "hurry" mode. \- prior versions would keep to the left lane and move right only if absolutely necessary. It kept the speed near 30% above the speed limit, with 40% as the hard limit. \- under 14.1.4, its diving through traffic changing lanes way too often. I am also experiencing those brake stabs that others were experiencing in prior version. maybe less? I don't know. its abrupt and worse than the prior versions of FSD. The windshield wiper has wildly regressed and in a drizzle turns on the fastest mode and just keeps at that fastest mode. This morning, in sunny conditions, with a dry windshield, the wipers were on the intermittant mode due to a streak across the camera area that was caused by the overzealous windshield wiper the prior night.

ZeroWashu 2025-11-01 00:17

So much of the experience is ruined by the poor map data or not using the map data correctly. Since they removed the ability to scroll wheel the speed you are trapped by incorrect speed limit data it has.

bigbrains 2025-11-02 17:03

Just got 14.1.4 and I’m absolutely loving it so far. Was kind of hoping the Tron update would drop with it, but looks like that’ll have to wait.

Far_Yellow6567 2025-11-04 18:49

FSD 14 is great until it's not. My car frequently slams the breaks and swerves for leaves blowing across the road or shadows. It fails to take opportunities to turn when waiting at a stop sign. It jabs the breaks and jitters when pedestrians are near the edge of the roadway, even when any human driver wouldn't. The jittering scares pedestrians. It also thinks the shoulder is a lane frequently. It ignores signs that say one way or do not turn left. It also ignores the large illuminated no right turn on red sign in my home town. It switches lanes when the lane is ending quite early which is nice, an improvement from fsd13. But then shortly after it'll try to go back the the ending lane! Dangerous! Fsd14 is a massive regression. I believe it sacrifices safety for new convenience features. I have a 2026 Model Y Long Range Launch Series with FSD 14.1.4.

Agreed! Why would anyone use that when there is a dedicated button on the steering wheel.

So far I’m pretty disappointed with this update. Have been using self driving less because of it. I feel like it’s too scared to change lanes now. It’s thinking way too long to switch lanes then ends up not even making the change. Also, felt like it swerved/slowed down a few times for no reason.
