You can start FSD from park??? I've never seen that before. I have to manually start driving for a few seconds before the steering wheel icon appears. 2018 Model 3

pinegap96 2025-09-11 21:05

People on HW3 who didn’t even know this was a problem since we don’t have FSD from park lol

pinegap96 2025-09-11 21:05

Only available on HW4

cliffd3700 2025-09-11 21:30

Or for Patreon subscribed podcasts to be playable!

ackermann 2025-09-11 21:57

Considering Smart Summon works just fine on HW3 and starts from park… I’m really confused why FSD can’t do it on HW3 with someone in the driver’s seat?

pinegap96 2025-09-11 22:21

It probably can, they probably do it like that so more people upgrade to newer HW4 cars. I agree. I don’t see why it can’t be done. ASS works pretty good on my HW3 car

Ryands991 2025-09-11 22:22

It's part of the FSD branch that HW4 is on. hW3 is on a very old version of FSD for now.

ackermann 2025-09-11 22:48

I doubt it’s intentional to encourage people to upgrade. Too minor of a thing for anyone to upgrade for. But also just too minor for them to waste time implementing on HW3, even if it’s clearly possible, since they want to focus on HW4.

ackermann 2025-09-11 22:49

We (HW3 owners) got ASS before they cut the branch, fortunately, but not quite un-park. If the branch cut had been just a couple months later, we’d probably have it

FoShizzleShindig 2025-09-12 00:15

ASS defintely has a different training set and its own neural net with less parameters to fit on HW3.

Extension-Share6148 2025-09-12 00:43

They finally fixed wiper pop up after autopilot bug in 2025.32.3.1

in_her_drawer 2025-09-12 04:16

That's great news! My update is installing now. What car do you have?

doublebass120 2025-09-12 04:39

When did ASS come out for HW3? I still have the old SS and i paid for FSD.

pinegap96 2025-09-12 04:50

It’s been like a little over a year

WrenchmanFerritin 2025-09-12 09:40

People from any countries outside of NA and China who don't have FSD don't know jack about any of its features.

Outrageous-Log-9383 2025-09-12 10:24

Still not available on Legacy S/X

VitoCorleone306 2025-09-12 10:56

This wasn’t fixed for me after the update. 25 MX

doublebass120 2025-09-12 22:56

I just checked my car, it’s definitely not in there (2018 MX, MCU2, HW3, FSD)

LimpHamster1107 2025-09-13 08:29

I live in Germany and have no FSD, thank god I got the update immediately lol

jmagill2357 2025-09-16 10:14

I have Hardware 3 and I can FSD from park? Is it a clitch on mine?

Confident-Sector2660 2025-09-25 17:34

you have a legacy model X. Legacy vehicles (S/X) between 2017 and 2020 also have an inferior version of FSD that does not work right go try another tesla from 2018 like a model 3. There is a world of difference in how fsd performs
