Damn they're ugly
What an amazing futuristic car
ah what a coincidence!
Look more like fire trucks
I wanna know who did the designing, man , everytime we see one we can't help it. We just laugh.
I mean, it’s only fair
Us cybertruck owners laugh at all the haters while we enjoy our trucks
That's cool, I like the technology. I'm not a hater.
“Color me surprised” “I got you fam”
It's also how it drives that make it so good. It not just another truck. It is a multi purpose vehicle. And most people won't get it till they drive it.
So, are they going to give us one?
Smart
Winning
Idk, can any truck look pretty?
What are the multiple purposes in this case? I asked because Kia is referring to their van as a multi-purpose vehicle and I see why - hauling 8 passengers, can fit a 4x8 in the back, crazy cargo space.
Oooooo that’s so cool
> It not just another truck. It is a multi purpose vehicle. What are the additional purposes that another truck like a Rivian or a Ford can't perform?

Looks like they're just for show.
Is it just me or does that look like the Buckee's logo on the hood?
It drives sooo good. Can't convince my wife tho :(
Do you drive a truck? If you don't it may not make sense. It doesn't drive like a truck. If you had a truck and a car . For me i didn't want to drive my other truck when doing certain stuff. Like running errands just one thing. It will make you get rid of your other cars. There had never been a truck that had been cheap to drive fun, And fast. The tow range is shorter than my dodge but I can l fill it up 5 times compare one for my dodge .
Why are the buyers of Tesla Stock, not buying Tesla cars?
I fancy nice looking trucks, I like new models of GMC, Ram, Ford design, I don't like their back though, just the front. I appreciate good design
Uh, no
My little kid absolutely loves Cyber Trucks and absolutely loves police cars. I gotta show him this when he gets home from school today since it will absolutely blow his little kid mind. Haha
We have a Tacoma and a 10 year old minivan and the minivan serves way more purposes
How many of 'em do I need to sell to get me a plane?

That's sexy AF
That’s specifically just the traffic police. I think regular police is still stuck with their Lambos and Land Cruisers.
HotTamales
I mean if you like it good for you. It’s not about being a hater, it’s just most people find them ugly and dumpstery
[removed]
That's dope asf!
You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
Well, you can't slam a sledgehammer into the side of any other truck without leaving a massive dent, which isn't something that I worry about often, but it is pretty impressive. It drives itself, too, and the steering feels amazing because of the steer by wire tech. Other than that, I don't think it's much different than other trucks besides the looks.
Is the tech cool? - it seems like it has a vastly reduced distance than originally promised, and can't really do normal truck stuff either. What is this tech?
Does this mean vice president Musk has dibs on air force one?

Do they perform well in high-temperature areas?
Breakaway bumper while towing.
lmao that's a great one

Just catering to the narcissistic orange clown. What a joke
Well as a police vehicle vs other electric trucks It offers better acceleration, a secure bed, better turning radius some mild bullet protection (well its better than none) and better maneuverability due to steer by wire system.

I wish Jeep was making forward control pickups still... https://www.motortrend.com/features/the-jeep-mighty-fc-concept-an-unrequited-love-22423
The original concept sketch, while basically being very similar, looked so much sleeker. It had more pronounced chamfered features, so smaller flat sides. I'm sure they had good reasons to fatten up the truck's looks, but it's a bit disappointing that they did. https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/2597/the-original-design-and-inspiration-of-the-tesla-cybertruck
Tell me if I'm off the mark here, but are you asking "Why do investors buy stocks instead of cars" ?
What is normal truck stuff? IIRC it has completely adequate load weight, tow weight, and handles hauling it like a dream. "Towing 10k lbs for 250+ miles" which accounts for a tiny % of pickup-truck driving.
That’s a ute, not a truck.

I’ve seen some really nice looking Rivian trucks. Maybe they won’t look so nice after a lot of hauling though.
FSD and powershare are without a doubt handy features, I can agree on that.
I just mean the antonym to ugly is pretty and no truck is exactly pretty. The point of trucks are to do a function so if it doesn't look visually appealing, besides it being in the eye of the beholder, it doesn't mean it's failing that function, it's still just a tool.
Tesla has to survive somehow LMFAO
Probably because it needed to be taller to compete with other trucks on ground clearance, wade depth, bed volume, etc, without feeling cramped inside. That sketch would make it even more of a pavement princess than it already is
...No, the price is now 347. That's a lot enthusiasm, where are ALSO the car purchases?
It used to be lambos so this is a step in the right direction

possibly worst CT I've seen
Electricity is a lot more expensive than gas in Qatar 😮💨
Im a fan of both the rivian and lightening and believe they are great offerings, but my 100 pound dog can’t scratch my CT with his paws. For the first time in my life, I do not fear shopping carts, door dings, tree scrapes, or pet claws. I would get steel exterior on every vehicle if I could. The look of the steel is meh, but it always looks better than a scratched up paint job.
I always judge the effectiveness of law enforcement by how pretty their vehicles are. I mean, in the U.S. a black and white color scheme doesn't exactly work well in the aesthetics department, does it?
Why can't a truck do it all. not just being a truck. When I do test drive when they get shocked for example. going from chill to standard and look me surprised I say it does what a truck is not supposed to do . And ok you drive one
R1T is objectively a better design that's not as harsh and more practical overall. I really think they will have to hone in the design on the CT to get it more affordable and more broadly appealing.
Guys I'm starting to wonder if the Saudis might want something in return at some point
Looks like those red Chinese envelopes my grandfather would give us money in for birthdays.
I'm preparing to buy my first one. I believe there are plenty of buyers out there; it’s just more entertaining to discuss doom and gloom here on Reddit.
Well there is a push on many countries to switch to EVs for government and public vehicles and people in this thread where asking how it compares to ford and rivian.Police cars tend to idle a lot and EVs are a lot more efficient on low speeds or when idling Vs ICE. EVs tend to have also lower cost of ownership due to the minimal maintenance they need. Charging speed could be a big con depending on the use case.

They must import those vehicles, right? I didn't think any of those were sold there.
Rich state.
Not the same . 11.6kw vs 9.6 for ford or 40 amp vs 30 for ford
That works for you not for me and I don't want to pay for gas
Charging is not a problem. If you can think. If the cop drives home it charges overnight or at the station. When they get lunch they could get a quick charge at supercharger then would be good to finish the shift if they go low. or will they do paper work. Search Indiana has a police force that has 13 and saved over 500k .
why not have bullet proof police cars?
Bet they bust out the BYDs when Xi is in town.
That doesnt even look good
> But by "normal truck stuff" the guy meant even like basic off road. Which the Cybertruck does quite well? What do you mean.
Even the Silverado EV looks a lot better than the CT.
He was the lead designer, but I guarantee you that he wasn't the one pushing for the current design. His early sketches looked 10 times better.
They are cybertrucks🤷♂️
> I was just informed that F150 Lightnings have the same power sharing functionality. Have to buy the extra necessary hardware from Sunrun (I have a friend with a Lightning who refuses to setup his truck as a battery backup for his house, despite living in Orland, FL, due to past horrendous experience with Sunrun) and hardware costs are $3,900. For the Cybertruck, if you already have a Powerwall and Wall Connected installed in your house there is no need for extra hardware and later this year via an OTA software update the power share functionality will be enabled. If you don't have a powerwall already, the extra hardware needed for a Cybertruck is purchased directly from Tesla and costs $2,500.
The funny thing is Tesla posted on instagram last month the first drafts of the cybertruck and the original sketch was side by side with a stealth bomber, and I had never drawn that comparison and suddenly it seemed badass. If they had marketed it as a “stealth bomber car” and had it default wrapped satin black, they would have moved some damn units. But instead they angled it as “doesn’t it look ridiculously futuristic and cool in stainless steel like a starship?!”
I do pay attention a lot to designs duo to my profession, I see cars r really competing in that , looking at latest trucks, Ram, Ford, GMC etc I could do much better job, sometimes I just wanna go to these car companies and offer my services, that will guarantee their sale...😃 Cars talk to me with their looks. My eyes are constantly tracking... I wish I could talk to Elon.
I mean the obvious safe choice would have been for Tesla to make a competitor to traditional trucks like rivian did with the R1S and as a differentiator, it has teslas AP/FSD, supercharging network, etc. rather than a radical design difference from traditional trucks. Curious what your design suggestions would have been
I mean given that there is almost no crime there - yeah mostly for show.
Police cars are about the only future the Cybertruck has left at this point.
Cool which one does 0-60 in 2.6 and can then raise suspension and go off roading? 🤔
Why does it look like a AI generated video lamo (ik it's not but still)
Slow motion, or at least the appearance of slow motion due to the very tiny field of view combined with the head on perspective.
Qatar has no domestic auto production, so all cars are imported.
So is the question "Why aren't people selling stock to buy cars"? Maybe some are. I did that a few years ago. I'd assume most people who believe in Tesla's long-term vision think this is still early, and that $50-100k car you buy could be missing out on $100-500k in x years.
I think they're kinda neat. I would love more unique looking cars on the road. I'm enjoying the different colors that are popping up more and hope that continues as well. Cars used to be more unique and colorful.
Us?
Ok time value of money. But, also short term Tesla survival. This dream price will not last with quarterly falling sales.
Firetrucks\*
Have your wife drive it for a day. The next day she will hate her car . The first time she tries to turn.
They mean they don't think the cybertruck is officially available in qatar
