Just finished rolling this out to all iOS and Android devices. Hoping to support it on legacy Model S/X in the next few months. Needs some new tech that Tesla is working on.
Where is this located in the app?
Shows up under Drives. Starts tracking after you install the latest telemetry update. Can tap the info circle then Manage Telemetry to install it on your car.
I'm still seeing 13.8.31 as the latest version.

Name of the App?
Nice, thanks. Don't see it yet but hopefully comes soon
Would love if you could add a note about the date this was added in (appears to be ~24 September, I think I installed the telemetry update as soon as I could), or calculate the lifetime usage based on that start date. I’m at 90% since 24 September, 3% lifetime :( Love the feature!

Was this in a release note I missed? I try to keep up to date with all the access needed by the app but I seem to have missed this one. Or maybe it's just super new and I'm spotting it quickly here. An opt in feature that would give a phone notification or some other way to notice when some access is missing in the app would be nice as long as particular access can be marked as ignored.
Hmm, does that mean we could have a light in the back that says FSD is active?
Tessie
So stoked for this update, awesome work! Big fan of Tessie. Have had it since day 1 of buying my Model 3. All the historical data is great to have available + there’s a great Home Assistant integration now for managing charging and pulling nav route / ETA info into my automations.
This would be fantastic
So what’s the cost required to get this data? I would love to track FSD usage, but I don’t want to pay a lot for a subscription if at all possible.
How do you track whether autopilot is engaged?
This os awesome. Thank you!
Was about to call BS on this as I've already been using this on my cars in the Tessie app, then I saw who was posting it! Works a treat, a nice new level of metrics.
Under Analytics it shows distance and then a percentage of time where autopilot was used. it would be cool if that had a little "i" button or something that said the date the metrics were accurate from or maybe a % of time autopilot was engaged since recording of that stat began. Mine shows like 2% fsd use and i bet it's probably about 80-90% of my drives, it would be cool to see what it really was! Thanks for all this work! Love it!
Created a way or was provided a way through the Tesla API? I don’t see any other option than using the Tesla API to get that data…
Can you add some stats on interventions, like, how many interventions per 100 miles on FSD? Some heuristic might help: e.g., if FSD is disabled for a short time, like less than a minute, the FSD interrupt could be an intervention.
What do you mean "new tech". Be more specific.

Is there a changelog for those updates
Could you have it update historical data as well? I'm really loving this new feature it's helping me showcase to all my friends that FSD does the majority of all my driving. It actually did 91% of my drive on a 900 km trip the other day. https://preview.redd.it/ib01tcwmmsyd1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3b43215ed0ed368504231fa9eb84998c810c5eda
I'm so this! If Tesla is watching, think of it as free advertising! Almost a "Student Driver" sign.
Lake Placid to Belle Glade? What ya doing out there mate? There ain't much of anything haha (Lehigh resident) though it is a really nice drive. Joking aside, this would be perfect for my legacy S so i can compare driving performance of FSD to when i actually drive myself. Thank you!
And those signs just make people instantly impatient and drive more dangerously around you. Definitely not useful when people already don't understand fsd
One of my favorite Tessie features. https://preview.redd.it/1w69k8m06tyd1.png?width=1075&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3b9af0130ad106906d7d4305d502b0690d6d75d4

I've been watching it for a week. About 80% of my commute each way is Autopilot.
Is there a way to track different drivers?
Curious, do you know if anyone has done testing on how much power fsd consumes? Example drive 100 mile stretch with FSD on and see how much battery it used, then do the same drive with it off at a set speed.
If you've been using this, at one point it was $50/yr, $200 lifetime. However now the prices are higher. One thing to note, the app does far more than data tagging and tracking, it offers additional automation and API control. Check it out sometime.
I love this feature. Any way to combine trips to show a map like this for the whole day, week, or month? All of the trips shown under map, don't show autopilot (fsd) percentage.
As best as I understand it, the historical data did not have this additional telemetry info and did not log or backup that info anywhere so it's not available to add retroactively. That's why you have to add the telemetry info to your car to apply this added info.
Having FSD do 90% of your driving over 30 days is impressive
I purchased a Tessie lifetime this past March, and couldn't be happier with product and developer's continued support and enhancements. The Automation and Alert features are excellent, plus the Drive History, Maps and Analytics are indispensable for me. The new FSD feature is very welcomed! I know the Tesla app will support Apple Watch soon (so they say :)), but Tessie's been doing it for a while, and I assume the developer will continue to add more features. It even tells us Charge Time remaining, which I think the Tesla app does not.
1. love it. 2. the graphs should be a *single* column that's stacked. thanks!
Great points, the alerts are really nice. Charge time remaining is shown at the top of the main Tesla app of your car next to the charge percentage.
If you mean compute and not "it's more/less efficient than my driving style", then IIRC it's zero as the vision/computers/everything is still running for ADAS purposes.
Yes in deed! But, when not near your car, it sure is nice to pull out your phone and view from the Tessie app.
so a sign that basically says "you can brake check or cut me off and suffer no consequences" because you know full well the people that roll coal will do this in a heartbeat
Yep. Those signs aren’t doing you any justice.
Most people have “boring” commutes, if I had a Tesla I’d be shocked if FSD couldn’t handle 90+% of it.
Good thing roll coaling ain't a thing around here.
piquant tidy march quicksand glorious juggle silky outgoing wide cautious *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev/home)*
The best marketing for FSD is for people to not even know a car is driving itself
If I ever own a Tesla that’s exactly how I’ll convince relatives(literally none of them trust any form of ADAS) that AP/FSD is safe to use. Turn it on one day and ask “How was my driving?” once we get home.
It's data available via the Tesla Fleet API from the car, same as all the other data Tessie can track.
Can't be zero. Servos running for steering/ speed /brakes. Definitely seems it should use a little more juice per mile.
Your app literally got me out of a ticket ..,well kinda.. a dickhead cop in California claimed I was going 90. Tbh I was going low 80s but at least the ticket for reduced. Still pissed off about it Anyway tyvm I love you
Is there a list of all data you can track from the Tesla API? I use Teslamate and I don't think that tracks AP usage
Does it distinguish between autopilot and FSD usage or combine them both under the "autopilot" label when reporting stats?
This is awsome. Request to be able to filter this by driver profile name. Curious how much I use it vs my wife.
Request: Ability to see not just number of miles on Autopilot/FSD but number of hours/minutes.
Does this actually works? Would it work for my cybertruck?
Yes.
Not sure if it has been updated, but it will say autopilot was used even if only TACC is on. Maybe add another option for TACC only and not throw it under the autopilot umbrella?
This looks awesome. I'll admit I tried Tessie a while back but struggled to find it useful, this has convinced me to give it another go.
You have more faith inFSD not running into a hard braking car than I do.
Rounding error
Can Tessie help track work miles for tax purposes?
Yeah, it's why I made the app.
So this is already gone huh? I was very excited when I noticed this in the app yesterday.
Why did you all get rid of these feature?
How do I see what it has been for the year? Any way to get this in hours? Looks like I only see Auto Pilot and not FSD?
Unfortunately Tesla has disabled this for all vehicles. When it worked, it was for both Autopilot/FSD and you can see the year stats under Drives > Analytics > This Year at the top.
