FSD Hands free disabled

jefedezorros | 2026-03-12 01:12 | 9 views

I just brought home a 2026 Model Y. I have many miles on FSD v12 but am new to 14. Every time I start a trip a message flashes up that says Hands Free Disabled and I have to keep hands on the wheel or I get nagged. Am I missing a setting?

I think I read about similar situation. The answer was interior camera can't see you. Go to service center to clean it. Something like that.

When I go to service mode and preview the cabin camera it seems fine.

My model s did that when I wore a baseball cap in the car. I took off the hat. All is good now.

Hmm maybe it’s my glasses. I guess I don’t really need to see if the car is driving 🤔

Shouldn't have anything to do with your glasses. I wear glasses or use prescription sunglasses in the car, using FSD. No issue like what you're experiencing.
