Has anyone gotten FSD transfer without trading in their old car?

I have been a proud owner of my 2018 Tesla M3 for past 6 years. I have FSD on it. I am thinking of transferring FSD to a new Model Y which I want to get for my wife. But i don’t want to trade in my car as it’s still doing pretty good and I have a few more years of battery and drivetrain warranty left on it. Was wondering if anyone has been able to transfer their FSDs to the new car? I know the last date for the transfer would be Mar 31st.

people have transfered FSD on cars they're trading in elsewhere (not tesla). Its just transferring from one car to the other without regard to ownership.

You can transfer FSD without giving up the vehicle.

Yes. You can as long as you own both “products” in your Tesla app you can transfer FSD.
