It's kind of strange that it's a taxi and it's a 2 door especially when all their other vehicles are 4 door.
I know, right! We are family of 3, how do we ride together? And in the US families are typically 4 or more from what I see.
You take two or find something that fits everyone. The same way 5 passengers can't fit it to a normal Uber.
The vast majority of ridesharing is done by 1 or 2 people.
Obviously if you request a ride for 3 people it would call a Model Y. This car is for rides with 1 or 2 people, which is the vast majority of rides. It makes all those rides significantly cheaper since it's a cheaper car to build and run compared to a Model Y.
How is it strange? It makes perfect sense. The vast majority of rides only have 1 or 2 people. This will serve all those rides, and do so very cheaply because it's such a small car. The remaining rides can be served by Model 3 or Model Y.
I just don’t understand why the tires are so wide in diameter with a thin sidewall on what’s supposed to be a comfortable mode of transportation. It looks cool (maybe?) but how is that practical lol
They’re not, there’s a cover over them that covers most of the sidewall.
A CEO obsessed with procreation and continues to crank out vehicles you can’t put a family in
They're two different sized wheels, too, between front and back. I rode in one during the "We, Robot" event and they felt just as comfortable as a Model Y \*shrug\*
Maybe because large families don't typically use ride sharing platforms? What a strange comment. Are you just here to say negative things about Musk or something?
Not really. Most Ubers and cabs are two people. Some are 1. Less than 10% is 3 people. Plus the driver that is. 2 makes sense and it’s very comfortable.
I thought side mirrors are required by law.

They can be digital
So, Cybertruck wheel covers 2.0?
Nice! I can't wait to ride in one
[Not in the US.](https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-cybertruck-side-mirrors-elon-musk-says-will-be-removable-2021-10) They can test them with an exemption, but the car cannot be sold like this. Also see the Ioniq 6, which has digital side mirrors in other markets and physical ones in the US.
Not necessary on a car that drives itself. Laws change.
You call a Model Y and soon a Robovan.
Cybercabs next month. Prove the second part I'll wait.
Dude get a grip.
So we can have that but not digital matrix LEDs until just recently smh

You just gonna troll every post here every day now?
I so want…..!
because they need a driver and a coupe is too inconvenient?
Willing to bet that you have a higher chance of getting arrested for that
I’ve seen 2 of these in Chicago in the last month. Odd car.
Ford Model T is old car.
I said "odd"
Rear wheels are massive huh
Oh, Sorry, I misread :D
Is this a serious question? A 2 seater with a driver means only one passenger. Most 2 seaters have very little trunk space as well (or none at all).
Yes, I am. Please don’t tell him!
Me too
I love it!
You can order a model y robotaxi and seat 4
Sweet
This made me think whatever happened to the new Roadster feel like it was supposed to come out forever ago
You can uber a minivan without issue
So we can still drive it while not driving it?
American laws really just don't know what to make of any vaguely modern tech
That’s a cybercab. The robotaxi is a Y

All I want is this car with a steering wheel.
You can also call a Model Y for robotaxi, cybercab is only the smallest model to serve 1-2 people rides
For more money
Don't need a side mirror if the car is doing the driving.
I see one of these mid-Peninsula every day
Near San Mateo?
Actually Menlo Park/unincorporated San Mateo County
New reveal is supposed to be on April 1st. So we’ll see in a couple weeks I suppose.
OMG I just saw one an hour ago in Austin! I was staring and staring I couldn't figure it out…
I'd put aftermarket side mirrors if I had one lmao
You and I both!
