How much?

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:03

I paid $16000 out of the door

a355231 2026-03-06 01:07

Hardware 2.5 or 3? It says FSD so I assume 3.

farmerMac 2026-03-06 01:15

Nice. I just got a model 3 but part of me kinda wishes I got an s. Looks better and comfortable ride.

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:23

Not sure how to check lol

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:24

I tried both and went for the model S with the money I had, I always wanted a big sedan, the model 3 feels more nimble though

chimaj21 2026-03-06 01:32

Just got me a 2018 model S with 50,000 miles. I’m happy. Congrats on the car!

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:33

That’s really low ! Congrats to you too

chimaj21 2026-03-06 01:33

Man. Total came out to 21,300

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:41

Good deal tbh

menntu 2026-03-06 01:45

Where? I like that price.

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:45

Clearwater Fl

FLawless______ 2026-03-06 01:45

Enjoy, amazing value you get so much car for the money. Your spec list is so much longer than my LR+ lol, I guess they got tired of listing everything.

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 01:46

Exactly what I thought, it’s so much car for $16000 !

menntu 2026-03-06 01:47

Private sale? Local Tesla shop?

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-06 02:00

120k miles ? Wow why not model 3 ?

Mindless-Respect7155 2026-03-06 02:03

Please don’t butcher me but when someone buys a vehicle this old has the original battery been replaced? Or do they buy at the low price with the understanding they’ll have to replace it?

Bob_Lelys 2026-03-06 02:34

Not bad at all!

imacleopard 2026-03-06 02:37

Because it’s a model 3

DateChemical4917 2026-03-06 02:43

Beautiful ride! I’ve been in the market for one for a week now. Did you buy private?

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 02:43

I bought at a dealership

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 02:44

Dealership

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 02:45

I ran a health check and everything was fine, to be honest batteries don’t fail as much as people think they do

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-06 02:45

Isn’t 120k too risky for 16k purchase ?

Mindless-Respect7155 2026-03-06 02:46

Man that’s awesome congratulations! I pick up my first ever EV on the 16th and I’m already worried about the battery just because I hear about horror stories lol

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 02:51

Lower mileage I saw around 20~22k

JBare13VA 2026-03-06 03:30

I'm just about to hit 100k on my '18 Mid M3 and will be looking for something like this towards the end of '26. Ideally the 3 goes to my daughter for her first car and S my daily commute. I also have a reservation for a Rivian R2 so I'm interested to see how those play out over the next few months.

rygel_fievel 2026-03-06 03:30

Do you have lifetime Supercharging and data?

JBare13VA 2026-03-06 03:32

Now that kids are 13/11 they'd like a little more room in the backseat. I want more range (M3 at ~212) for winter driving.

TeslaCrna 2026-03-06 03:36

Please. These things last forever as long as it’s been taken care of. You won’t need to replace the battery until 500k.

Mindless-Respect7155 2026-03-06 03:38

Oh is that right? Lol

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 04:12

No I have to pay for supercharging

Lucky_Bend9418 2026-03-06 04:18

"Ultra High Fidelity Sound" Does it sound great?

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 04:21

Sounds just like high definition 😂

dubie4x8 2026-03-06 04:23

I like how one of the specs listed is “No Spoiler” lol

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 04:24

Like I can’t tell lol

Justman1020 2026-03-06 04:31

Why buy such an old car if it doesn’t have the free supercharging? Seems like a bad move.

W3HAPPYF3W 2026-03-06 05:56

Love it! It is great seeing EV enthusiasts show - just - how amazing these vehicles are. Mileage is the goal; and mileage should be something we brag about…unlike or ICE counterparts

VegarHenriksen 2026-03-06 06:01

You understand that not everyone needs FUSC?

PurpleSausage77 2026-03-06 06:14

Mine has the “No Spoiler” and “No Third Row Seating” as well. They should put everything else it doesn’t have lmao

ExiledGirlVS 2026-03-06 06:37

You bought a 10 year old car for $16k? Couldn't you save up a bit more for a brand new one?

Justman1020 2026-03-06 06:47

You understand that for 16K you can get a much newer Tesla right?

Retarded_MCU1_owner 2026-03-06 08:20

I've got a 2017 S 90D. I've done hundreds of thousands of free supercharging kilometres. Car is touch wood still going strong. How you finding FSD (assuming you're in USA) did you get HW3/new cameras or already done? Are you running MCU1 or MCU2?

OriginalStringw 2026-03-06 09:43

> they’ll have to replace it Batteries don't suddenly die. Just like engines don't.

ysfex3 2026-03-06 10:17

Man Im considering a super high mileage 17s because the price is crazy low. Please tell me yours sucks so that I'll change my mind XD

Global-Barracuda9798 2026-03-06 10:26

I’ve driven some high mileage teslas and for some reason they drive better than some newer ones. Idk why maybe they were refurbished or something.

Global-Barracuda9798 2026-03-06 10:27

I’m in a 2023 model 3 with 90k miles and it still has 252 miles of range.

Ren_HiRen 2026-03-06 12:02

I got a new 23 m3p exactly 3 years ago and I keep telling myself… I wish I bought an older model S. Congrats , I wish I was you lol

descendency 2026-03-06 14:00

I think you’re right but also anyone buying one should be prepared for a potential battery replacement cost.

Sirius889 2026-03-06 14:29

Congrats

Mindless-Respect7155 2026-03-06 14:30

Not if it’s out of warranty they don’t

Bovakinn 2026-03-06 14:51

I have a 2022 model 3 with 170,000km on the clock and my last health check about 6 months ago showed 6% degradation. My money is on it out-living the car.

DreadPirateNot 2026-03-06 15:01

I had a 2014 S. Now I have a 2020 S. I feel like they cheapened a lot of parts with the refresh. My 2014 was so nice. A lot of little stuff seems to break on the 2020. Your 2017 will suit you well.

VegarHenriksen 2026-03-06 15:13

new = / = better I'm guessing you're referring to a Model 3 or Y which is not the same class vehicle

Johnnie-Dazzle 2026-03-06 16:16

I bought a 2017 MS and replaced the original battery. But I received an error message about it

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 17:52

I personally think that buying new is a scam

leoalpa69 2026-03-06 17:53

It’s great lol

ysfex3 2026-03-06 18:00

A higher power decided for me because someone already snatched it up yesterday!!

woodstream 2026-03-06 18:46

Looks great, enjoy!

elflacco93 2026-03-07 00:30

A bit more? You mean like triple the amount lol

Strykerdude1 2026-03-07 05:06

Fsd…. Nice.

jmora13 2026-03-07 10:31

Crazy, my 2023 m3 has like 15k miles

Global-Barracuda9798 2026-03-07 11:24

Well it was a rental

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:07

How so? The battery is a liability from about 60k onward. From there on its all about the same.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:08

Fwiw, my '18 p100d failed completely at 80k miles. No warning. Start up a battery fund, lol.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:08

Tell that to my '18 battery that failed last year at 80k miles with no warning. Degradation is not the concern. It's the no warning total failure.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:10

Oh they absolutely 100% do just randomly die, lol. I can attest to that first hand. '18 P100D with 80k miles. Car went from totally fine to "cannot drive. Hv fault. Service battery immediately."

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:11

I have that system in my '18. I think it's very good.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:12

That's perhaps the most 'not a car person' answer you can give, lol. Not everything is about getting the newest thing.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:13

A new model s is 60k right? Model 3 and Y are not nearly the same vehicle. Just because they have the same badge doesn't mean they're the same thing.

Justman1020 2026-03-07 15:20

These aren’t classic cars dude. It’s a Tesla. It’s not like he went out and bought a 67 mustang, or a stingray or anything like that…. He bought an old, outdated, slower to charge Tesla. There’s nothing “special” about a 2017 Tesla model S, except that the build quality is trash and most of em’ came with free supercharging. Not his though. Tesla’s aren’t cars. Their technology on wheels. “Not a car person” K.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:23

The 17 model s doesn't have garage build quality, lol. Given their rough budget, what do you feel so strongly that they should have purchased instead?

Justman1020 2026-03-07 15:36

A 2023 model 3 would have been a better choice. Possibly still keeping warranty, having a faster charging battery, and newer technology in it. Again:: you’re making it sound like they bought some classic car.

truthindata 2026-03-07 15:44

Wtf, a '23 model 3 is DOUBLE their budget unless you get a real beat up one with damage or something. You're failing to understand how vastly different the model 3 and s are. They are not the same car. The model S is a fat mover vehicle. Have you been in one? Lol. Fast charging is nearly meaningless if you charge at home. With hw3 you can still have modern fsd. This is such a crazy argument, lol.

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-07 18:39

Yes .. hence I was skeptical to see a 120k .. I guess I am still in ICE mindset

truthindata 2026-03-07 18:44

Even with ice. 120k on a Toyota or Honda is low mileage, lol. Maybe you're just used to unreliable cars?

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-07 21:21

May be.. I have never owned a car above 100k my highest is 85k so a unfamiliar domain ..

OriginalStringw 2026-03-07 23:20

Okay, you're 100% right, they definitely do. But it's not an expected thing like a lot of people make it sound. It's like a single digit percentage probability.

truthindata 2026-03-07 23:33

I'd love to know the stats. I think it's something like 50% for the 100 kwh packs on the model s and x.

314159265389 2026-03-09 03:46

Nice!  I bought a 2017 last summer & it has been great so far.

davidP88888 2026-03-10 20:37

Good looking car. Just saw a '17 with 130k miles for sale from a private seller for $12,900. Giving it some serious thought.
