Premium Connectivity

KrazyCatMama | 2026-02-28 23:56 | 9 views

Can someone explain why when trading in my Tesla to purchase a new Tesla that my annual premium connectivity does not transfer nor do I get a prorated refund? This seems ridiculous. They have my old vehicle, it wasn’t a 3rd party trade. I had like 9 months left.

Can't answer your question but as someone who bought a used Tesla, I was able to enjoy 6 months of free premium connectivity thanks to the previous owner.

Everything is tied to the car not account makes it easier for tesla to sell their used cars

Oh it 100% is ridiculous and I too found this out the hard way. Loyalty meant 0 after getting into another 3 year lease and Tesla offered me absolutely no help.

FYI, it’s what the agreement says when you signed up

Did you buy it from Tesla or somewhere else? I was told that it would be canceled and removed from the car when it was removed from my account?

Tesla doesn't do refunds. This is generally the answer to anything regarding money. They state the terms up front, and they stick to it. And they know you have no power or leverage. This is them. Don't expect a kind hearted call center agent that will bend policy for you. It just won't happen.

Bought from another dealership. It stuck with the car after transfer of ownership.
