Exactly, but seeing it in action gives peace of mind that it works as well, not just talks. Also the predictive action was well in advance which gives enough time to further adjust if needed.

If it has the view, it can avoid in advance. Model Y is low comparing to many cars on the road though! CyberTruck would have the full view for this!

Still camera placement is higher than driver's eye level, so it can better see than us.

Probably is some supervisors will complain it quickly and randomly moved to the right never seening the near miss happen. I am guilty of it. I have had my Model Y stop "randomly" only to realize it was stopping at a crosswalk to let a pedestrian cross when no one else was stopping.

Well, there are always people who will complain. I am so used it it, I don't remember when was last time I drove except my garage to driveway 😂

Looking at the footage the camera sees plenty fine. That said, depending on what car you’re behind the tall camera placement can go both ways. Sometimes I can see through the car in front, but not if my head was at camera height.
