Plaid Sport Seat Retrofit

Leather_Milk_7321 | 2026-03-15 03:46 | 247 views

Finally had my model s plaid style seats installed 😎 Ordered them from EVoffer, i’ll try and answer some questions. They took 37 Days from payment to delivery to my house. They’re ventilated and controlled via the touch screen. You can customize pretty much everything, i’m a bit taller so I had 3cm added to the leg rest, and chose Alcantara for the seat wings to match oem plaid seats. I had them installed by EVoffer, they sent an installer to my house and it took him about 4 hours. Seats were $1399 ($1,100 after discount) Install was $800 ($600 after discount) Free Shipping, total ($1,700) \[Lots of discounts around I used XTRA20

Are they heated and cooled ?

Kimorin 2026-03-15 04:04

Was your car ventilated seats before? Or is just the new one ventilated? How is it controlled via touchscreen in that case?

Substantial_Chain718 2026-03-15 04:05

Those are sweet! That is a great price. You can sell your OG seats for probably $600+ too.

Leather_Milk_7321 2026-03-15 04:08

Gonna put them on ebay soon 😆

Leather_Milk_7321 2026-03-15 04:08

Yes!

I’m not the OP, but I’m happy to answer your question because I did the retrofit not of plaid seats , but of the Performance seats on my Juniper Long Range. Even though my car already has cooling, you can actually do this on any model, even ones that don’t come with seat cooling. Basically, when you order the seats, you go through a selection process where you can add options like cooling or choose to keep them heated only, like your current car. If you add cooling, they include a fan that you install and clip under the seat. How it works is that you triple tap the heated seat icon on the screen and it activates the cooling instead. It uses the fan that comes with the seats. For example, in my case, my car already had seat cooling, so I didn’t need to install the fan. But if your car doesn’t have it, they give you that option, which is really cool and works very well.

They were not, triple tap defroster to switch between heat and cool mode, then adjust level like normal with the heat icon, 1 is low 3 is high.

Isaak1404 2026-03-15 04:12

wait are those lights in the backseats stock??

Leather_Milk_7321 2026-03-15 04:17

They are not, got the full kit from LightingBugTech for $199 on Black Friday.

Isaak1404 2026-03-15 04:17

ahhh i see, they look sick af man!

GuysImConfused 2026-03-15 04:21

So there is no software update on the console for older non-ventilated cars (2021 model 3) to show the blue cooling icon?

ConfidentImage4266 2026-03-15 04:22

Unfortunately not because Tesla 2021 never supported cooling seats so they never updated the UI for that

Kimorin 2026-03-15 04:23

neat, thanks for the answer!

p3n9uins 2026-03-15 04:48

what's the implementation such that triple tapping the defroster switches modes? the fan is wired somehow so that triple tapping the defroster activates the fan?

itzchurro_ 2026-03-15 05:02

It is probably connected to the vehicles canbus, and reads if the defroster was triple tapped -> switch between heat/cool.

Spiritual-Corner1385 2026-03-15 05:16

I see the piano black console so it's a pre refresh model right? I'm curious to know what all mods you've done to the car!

nomis_nehc 2026-03-15 05:23

Know of other coupon codes that work? Xtra20 didn’t work for me.

Leather_Milk_7321 2026-03-15 05:35

Yes, it’s a 2020 M3P I’ve done; black headliner, Carbon fiber steering wheel, carbon dash trim, full ambient lighting, and now the sport seats! On the outside just a chrome delete and front splitter.

GiantAppendix 2026-03-15 05:47

Never met someone informed about a canbus that didn’t partake in the use of cannabis.

Bay-skates 2026-03-15 08:43

Please tell me your model three is at least a performance

ComprehensiveCry567 2026-03-15 09:37

How's the comfort in comparison to the originals?

lonestarbrownboi 2026-03-15 11:48

They look amazing 💯 Is the cooling feature any good? That's the main feature I want to add, living in Texas but want to make sure it's actually substantial before dropping like $1500

Unit78 2026-03-15 13:01

That interior lighting is amazing! I’d definitely want a Model 3 just for that feature, and it would have to be blue. But that red is also quite striking. I can’t help but imagine Tron Ares looking at these photos.

Douche_Baguette 2026-03-15 13:02

Try https://gedd.it - it will find AND test the codes for you.

short_bus_genius 2026-03-15 13:29

Any chance the custom LED lighting you have installed can sync with Tesla’s own lighting? For color change and the music sync?

6158675309 2026-03-15 13:57

Thanks for the info. I’m considering upgrading the seats in my 2023 Performance to the new ones. Did you get the Tesla seats, or EVoffer seats, something else?

revolevo 2026-03-15 14:07

WHEWWWWWW is it getting hot in here or just me?

TxTransplant72 2026-03-15 14:08

Did you do the rattle delete too? Mine has a terrible one in the back end that I cannot find.

The_tornado 2026-03-15 14:10

I believe it’s a double tap of the defroster, at least with the EVOffer seats. My biggest fear is a future software update interferes with this feature. I’m sure there’s a way for them to send an update though.

Brief-Calligrapher-3 2026-03-15 14:26

Definitely added a lot of character to the interior. Looks really good!!

asswizzard69 2026-03-15 15:33

It’s great on my 25 model 3

Substantial_Chain718 2026-03-15 15:40

Post back what you get for them.

No1stopme1994 2026-03-15 16:22

Wow this is fantastic I def want to do this on my M3 highland. Scared about losing my warranty

SYLiu93 2026-03-15 16:44

I have the EVOffer seats for model 3. The ventilation is super powerful, way more so than any OEM I have tried (tried Rivian, Tesla, and VW). They blast it full speed and as a result it’s a bit loud, but the lowest setting may be slightly more powerful than OEM and almost inaudible. IMO I’ll take the louder sound for the instant cooling

Suvi2k 2026-03-15 16:56

This is fire..! Love black seats. Have you sat in the performance highland? How would you compare these seats in terms of comfort to the M3P?
