Grey looks sweet. Light enough to see the details of the wheel (you are paying good money for those!) & dark enough to work with the black trim and dark interior. If you white interior, might have gone with Silver..

Black. It complements the tints and other black accents of your car which allow your red paint standout. Grey introduces another shade and makes what you’re looking at too busy. At least for me, anyway.

Black truly pops on this Tesla red.

There’s very little contrast going black rims. Highly disagree. The gun grey adds a tasteful amount of contrast. Plus the actual performance pretty rim design gets diluted with the surrounding dark areas.

100% black. I think im both qualified and unbiased on this one. Ive had a blue 2020 & 2023 model 3, with just stock rims. But, I have DIY vinyl wrapped my badging darker. Maybe I am biased.

You've already got black accents. Black looks best.

Yes, I think they used to come as default as winter tires. They switched to gunmetal after a while before the new P.

Yes, they are the performance wheels before the uber turbine performance wheels. I had the last year of this performance model and got these rims, absolutely the best out of them and uber turbine. Can see inside so well and it makes the red breaks pop SO much.

I like silver personally. Side question, what do you think about the full time roof rack? I’m considering it for mine.

Silver. I got my 2020 with the silver wheels and never regretted it...except for the curbs swipes that will do a number on em'

Ok, my car is blue and it looks great. After looking at it some more, do grey, not white.

Well they all look good. I wouldn’t paint them. Just get some wheel covers in a dark shade then you can rock whatever color you’re in the mood for

Looks great on a pre-2021 with silver trim, looks horrible with black trim, dark trim needs dark wheels.

Mine’s a 2018 so all chromed up so that’s where I’m coming from

I’d go silver or gun grey. Prefer the latter but anything is better than a boring black. The grey is subtle and introduces a cool contrast to the look. The silver is a classic - nothing wrong with it. Too many blacked out rims on cars, don’t fall for the boring norm.

Had my 2022 Red LR wheels repaired from previous owner curb rash, then black satin powder-coated for super durable finish... Satin finish matched the other blacks better, versus gloss. Also did satin black pillar delete, so the whole top half of the car is blacked out... even though my tint job is only 30%.

I have option #1, but my car is an OG 2019 M3P version, with chrome trim, red, with white interior. For you, I’m looking at option 2 or 3. Option 3 almost blacks out any detail of the rim design from that that, so I would probably go with option 2 (I know it’s sort of grey-black, but it shows some of the detail of the rim itself).

The silver/white rims only work on the older chromed models imo

I really like the darker colors with the red specifically and chose wheels for my car the same way.

OP, I have no Photoshop skills, can you do the same comparison on a midnight silver 3? I like the bright but maybe gun will be better? I curbed two wheels so need to refinish them. TIA!

Had white wheels on my Laguna seca E46 M3. It looked amazing. What did not look amazing was how quickly they got dirty. It gets old wiping them down daily. But man they looked good.

I've never seen the point with black wheels. You never see the details of the wheel and it just looks like a black circle. I prefer silver,bronze or chrome .

White inside is a Must!! Lights up like a Church 👊🥳☀️
