New Tesla model 3 replacement advise

BreadfruitTop4582 | 2026-03-12 11:29 | 9 views

I brought a new Tesla model 3 premium on 07/02/2026 and I noticed a noise then. So I got someone else to drive it as I inspect it but I couldn’t hear anything and after a while I forgot about it because I can’t hear anything inside.Recently my neighbours noticed the same sound again and it’s more noticeable now even at slight turns. I think it’s coming from the axle. I booked an appointment with Tesla service they said it might be a safety issue bring it in when I sent them a video. Now I am wondering it’s a new car and if it does have an issue is it worth keeping it Is it possible I can ask Tesla for a replacement car It’s been just after 30 days am I in still a position to ask them to replace the car Thank you

Since when did they do a replacement car within 30 days, at least I've never heard it in the US

Yeah i am in the UK. That’s what I was told by one of the finance companies (Blackhorse ).

Damn lucky I would have returned my shit also, have a terrible coil whine in my front motor I'm stuck with

Yeah I checked online as well in Uk after 30 days Tesla has one chance to repair or replace. If that doesn’t fix then they should refund. I like the car it’s just if it’s a safety concern then it is what it is. It needs to go.

Probably best to contact them

I tried but they kept sending me back and forth to sales and service team. Didn’t know what to do.

Since you got it through a third party you might have to contact them. If not, just turn up to a service centre (if one is nearby) and see what they say.

What’s the noise you hear exactly. Does it happen when you first turn on the air in your car? If so, I think I had a similar experience and can report that just like you, it went away later. Ive not had it happen since and always imagined it was nothing major.

I booked an appointment yesterday and I got it through Tesla as well

It’s a clicking noise outside nothing inside it happens even when the air con is off. You can hear it from outside even more at turns

Interesting, I’ve not experienced this. I hope someone else can help point you in the right direction.

Nice. You’ll get the best info there hopefully

I have an older Model 3 and had this annoying sound that sounded like it was coming from the wheel. I could hear it at low speed, especially when driving next to a high curb. It turn out it was the center cap on my wheel being slightly loose. See if your wheel covers have a slight jiggle.
