First Tesla

woods-cpl | 2026-03-12 02:04 | 223 views

Picked up the first Tesla and already a huge fan. 2023 RWD with 33k miles. Renton, WA center. They’re moving a lot of them. Took a week from when I ordered it online. Got there and took about 45 minutes, no fault of theirs. State DOL website had been down so there was a backup. Only took about 10 minutes once they were ready to go.

Congratulations! I know you will love it and find out that it never ever gets old. I'm in my seventh year and second Tesla and every day I get home I say to my wife, "That car is insane!"

They are great cars, and they never get old somehow, a side effect is if you don’t drive a gas car somewhat frequently aswell your going to almost forget how to lol, it’s crazy how much more thought goes into driving than you think. If you do get the chance to drive a gas car, try it in like 3 months, its like wtf is this prehistoric death trap.

Good on you.

JFreader 2026-03-12 11:26

Definitely not the first Tesla. I've seen a bunch of them before.

woods-cpl 2026-03-12 11:52

$22.5k

Delirium101 2026-03-12 12:46

This is one of those purchases where you look at it for years and years to come and think, “best purchase I ever made.” lol starting now with those gas prices! Oh my god does it feel good to not care about gas prices anymore.

True story. A few years ago I went away on holiday with the family and rented a car. On MULTIPLE occasions, I left the car running with the keys in the ignition and just…left. I did this at the grocery store. I did this at the bike shop. I remember the first time I was approaching the car and heard the music playing. I was like, “shouldn’t that have stopped by now?” Then seeing the car on, I questioned whether it was the right car… bro….it broke my brain. I can’t stand driving a gas car

congrats!!! welcome to the elite cool kids club!!

Suvi2k 2026-03-12 15:18

Congrats. One of the best parts of your new Tesla is that there’s a lot functionality and entertainment/features to learn about. 6 months later, I’m finding out about things I didn’t know about initially. There’s always potential for updates too. Hope you enjoy it!

LETS GOOOOO

Attention_Imaginary 2026-03-12 17:04

Lease returns are really going to drop the price. A great time to buy a 2023!

jagmanamgaj 2026-03-12 17:38

that gas price behind the car is enough to celebrate going electric!!! west coast fuel prices are bonkers

woods-cpl 2026-03-12 17:40

And only going to get worse no matter what the price of oil does.

NoMansWarmApplePie 2026-03-12 20:44

How much odt? Got a 23 as well but it's 59k miles

NoMansWarmApplePie 2026-03-12 20:45

Prudent-Moment6608 2026-03-12 20:45

woods-cpl 2026-03-13 01:52

$25,500 with tax and everything

woods-cpl 2026-03-13 01:53

HW3

woods-cpl 2026-03-13 01:53

Those look really good but not sure I’d want the upkeep lol

Huge_Ad_2133 2026-03-13 02:06

I know a few people who have 2019 and 2021 s with white seats. Both look really good.  To be fair, my favorite color is black. I just didn’t want to pay a delivery fee, and the one I got was in state.  I am zealous about it though. It is the flashiest car I ever have owned.

TxTransplant72 2026-03-13 03:39

I have grey too. You got it for a good price, now put some bling on that thing! Lots of aftermarket stuff to dazzle dazzle / jazz / rizz up your new ride (and so you can pick it out in a parking lot!).

NoMansWarmApplePie 2026-03-13 05:19

Nice! Got mine for about 23k otd. But I have about 59k miles.

bikrathor 2026-03-14 18:38

Its 6 months late because you're not that nerdy
