I was on FSD last year and a semi merged right into me on the driver's side and snapped the mirror shut. Somehow had zero other damage but FSD didn't do anything. No alert, no swerve, nothing. I took over right after I saw him as he hit me.

Sometimes I feel like impatience probably causes like half of all accidents.

My HW3 FSD also just keeps on the lane too. I had to take over to avoid being side swiped by someone while on FSD.

I have HW3 too so maybe that's why

Only OP can confirm. Had a similar incident earlier this week where I was also cutoff - although I reacted immediately and was inches away from a collision, I thought for sure the car had hit me as i felt a nudge. Turns out it was just the steering wheel trying to take over suddenly to steer me away from the accident.. (was not engaged in fsd)

Yeah, just today the car yelled at me about a car at least 30 feet in front of me and turned it red on the screen and everything. Every once in a while it just hallucinates.

what’s the default? and is FSD required for that? I feel like I have all the safety toggles on but don’t truly know what would my Tesla do in such situations (i have no FSD doesn’t makes sene in Germany)

Yesterday someone came right into my lane and my hw4 slowed and drifted right. I slammed the horn and the guy just continued into my lane. Fsd handled it well.

Man this happened to me once. I was extremely surprised and happy. What feature is this? I didn’t have fsd or autopilot active.

Hw4 here, I have hated all the fsd updates since they removed the ability to manually change the speed. The first one after wasn’t bad other than high probability of getting a speeding ticket, but the two I got after that if someone gets behind you the car will aggressively apply the brakes to allow a car to pass you that’s going slower than you!! I had to deal with that on a 3600 mile work trip. I don’t fly because the location I was going to I had never been and took a vacation there when I was done with work stuff. Figured I’d add that because I know people will respond with why didn’t you fly lol
