My new (to me) Model 3 RWD

From december 2024, stealth grey, premium RWD. 20 inch forged wheels and lowering springs. Absolute beauty in my opinion. I will definitely wrap the rear windows and probably make the tesla front and rear decals black.

You're gonna get a ticket if the authorities cant read your number plate!

Great stance. You might enjoy a more comfortable drive on a smaller wheel with thicker tires.

Hows the ride quality after installing springs compared to before? what lowering springs / height did you get?

i bought the car like this and i was surprised at how comfortable it still is

i bought the car like this so i don't really have a comparison. i only did the self serve test drive of the long range model. but the ride is pretty comfortable in my opinion. the springs are from a german company called Eibach. Lots of tesla drivers in germany use these. They are 25 mm lower than stock. They seem to be a great compromise between a sporty look and comfortable riding

Can you elaborate please? I think I’m in the same camp- just boat a second hand model 3 with similar wheels

Would you happen to know what rims those are ? They look amazing!

Suvi2k 2026-03-09 00:35

More tire is more comfortable on this car in my experience and many others. Factory spec 18s ride noticeably more comfortable and better than oem 20s. I’ve noticed 19’s are also similar. It’s just the 20s with thin tires that feel a lot worse.

TEC GT Race-I in bronze matte

Thanks for that. I had thought it was a bit bumpy at times, perhaps this explains it

Suvi2k 2026-03-09 04:03

Np, that’s def the reason. Careful hitting potholes or driving on damaged roads also. Stock tires on 20s are known to easily get damaged and require replacement often.

👍 thanks for the detailed response

Didn’t take a lot of photos yet. This was a quick shot from the first morning after buying the car. I think with the rear window tint it will look phenomenal. https://preview.redd.it/g1cxxfu05zng1.jpeg?width=1685&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfa99a4539d2beaddfd30f5db26c9356ad841d1e

Here‘s a quick ai sketch of how it would look with tinted windows https://preview.redd.it/rgcmhar26zng1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3738ae1080e43d6e45d67fafd306056ef2408f9f

I would get the 2 front windows tinted about 50% too, would be a more balanced look.

Is it just me or does the rear wheel drive Model 3 feel funner to drive than the AWD?

Nice. Good photo. Need more.
