It’s worth it. I came from a 2020 m3 standard to a m3 performance 2024 and the difference in quality is night and day.

How much of that do you think is because of the difference between standard and performance? I’m looking at standard versions of both for my comparison just to get a better idea 😁

Well I test drove the long range model 3 overnight with Tesla and loved the ambient lighting and also it sounded quieter with the double paned glass 360. I think on the older models it was either nonexistent or only in the front windows

The standard 2024 is a special car because it has LFP batteries and should last a long time. The 2024 is gonna be way better than the 2023, especially if you want to use FSD.

I got a 2025 last September and have had a few older models, prior to the refresh, as loaners and it really is a night and day difference. The design is way better of course, but the build quality definitely is so much better too. Things feel much more solid, the ride quality is way better, the cabin is so much quieter, it is just all around so much better. Not to mention I’m one of those people who actually loves the turn signals being haptic buttons in the wheel.
I would say if you have the funds to go with the refreshed model 3, do it. You will regret it if you get the older models 3 and have to listen to all the creaks, rattles, extra wind noise, etc. That’s just my personal opinion though. Don’t break the bank to get the 2024 if you will struggle to afford it.

I think the highland refresh is worth it.
How long do you plan to own this car? If you only keep cars for a couple of years, no biggie, get the older car and swap later.
If you plan to hang on to the car for an extended period, get the newer one. It will limit your future regret

Any other two years combo id say you may be right. But the difference between the 23 and the 24 is massive.
Thats why I got a 2024 too. Paid $35k but less than 7k miles with some upgrades.

The Highland seats suck. Sure, they're sporty, and grab you and keep you in place...but they're incredibly uncomfortable compared to the pre-highland seats.

I never drove a Tesla until I bought my highland ‘24 M3LR (AWD) and I had it for like 4 months got a loaner ‘22 of the same specs and haaated it. The stalk, the interior feel. How quick it was to move when I need to merge on to a highway etc.
Good luck either way! Tesla is a good purchase!

That was exactly my thought process. And since i tend to keep my cars for a long time i went for the highland.

2024. I have a 2023 and a 2025 which is like a 2024 and it’s night a day. If you do happen to go with a 2023 then you need to get those noise reduction strips they advertise on TikTok because they really do work.

It’s worth it. Night and day difference. Don’t give it another thought.
