Model 3 wheels

rmjx91 | 2026-03-05 12:31 | 21 views

I just bought the Model 3 RWD standard. It comes with the 18’’ Prismata wheels that I don’t really like. Is it possible to change them for another official ones

are you talking about the aero covers or the wheel its self?

I could consider both options. The cover would be less expensive so would be better of course

If you wanna go the other route any 18 in wheel will work but will take a range hit due to aero dynamics

Covers are relatively cheaper but since the prismata wheels are on the newer base models, options are scarce or non existent atm it appears. There are a ton of options for photons but those won’t work so be careful with options listed that show 2024+. IMO, you should just get new aftermarket wheels. Or new OEM wheels, which (without covers), you prefer over the prismatas. You could wait also. I understand why you might not want to go cap-less on the prismata’s, they look awful.

Could get OEM wheels and then get direct TPMS installed as well.

Yes..... you can go with covers, or different wheels! IIRC, they made three different wheel sizes for the Model 3...18", 19" and 20"

There are ppl likene that looking to downsize. Go look on fb marketplace and see is anyone near you wants to exchange. I have the new 19 sports and want 18s. I would take 17s if it fit but I heard it doesn't. I want that high profile comfy ride. 225 65 17 would probably feel like riding on a cloud compared to my 235 40 19s.
