Brilliant whipski! I love rainbow road! The toybox is full of fun little things, you can change the lock sound and the horn (but only in park,) and you can play music out of the hood too with the megaphone. Please enjoy it!!!!

Congrats! It’s an amazing car.
Keep the climate on auto and get some high quality ceramic tint.
Also make sure to get an SSD to set up sentry mode and your dash cam.
If you aren’t going to use summon, turn it off in the settings otherwise it’ll drain your battery.

I completely understand what you’re saying. I find excuses all the time to drive mine as well. 15k miles in 7 months. I feel like people don’t realize how special it is owning a Tesla until you have one.

I second you, bought one 2 weeks ago. I just find excuses to drive lol.

What's with the advice to keep the climate on auto?
I live in a place where winters are really cold, I jack things up to max defrost whenever I'm 10 minutes away from getting into the car. I keep the heat on pretty warm, and roll down the window when I want some cool air.

2026-03-04 09:08
Think it’s because the car is pretty good at deciding what the car needs (ac on or off, which way the air wil flow etc.). I tried manual for a long time, but I keep putting it back on auto low. Far easier this way.
robodan918
2026-03-04 09:23
it's because of a poor design that lets water seep in or condense which gets wicked up by the bottom air filter
you can 3D print a spacer that all but solves the problem
robodan918
2026-03-04 09:24
the 128GB USB that came with mine seems to do a good enough job being the sentry mode and dash cam drive
Panda-Cubby
2026-03-04 12:17
Did you clean your condenser with something like Cool It foam when you did the filters?

At least familiarize yourself with the owner's manual. Not a sexy, fun tip - but there's a lot of good answers in there. Plus, there's a lot fewer stupid jokes about oil changes.

Most people neglect the exhaust solenoid assembly as well. This can cause catastrophic failure if not serviced at teslas recommended intervals. Don’t be that guy.

Putting the car on defrost or defog doesn’t take it out of auto. The manual mode is good sometimes to put air where you want it (like on your feet if they’re really cold), but for the most part auto optimizes the airflow great.

Nah auto is best for hot and cold places. Keep at 69 or 70 all year. If you need to melt ice or snow that's a different story.

What took you sooooo long? There is nothing to do, just enjoy. There is no car (daily driver) on earth better than what you have there. The only thing is to sort home charging if that’s not already sorted. From all indications you’re not doing frequent long distance so, your normal plug you use for your electric cooker is very okay - just plug overnight. Just enjoy, it’s the easiest and simplest car on earth - don’t let them confuse with jargon

I feel like I’m the only one where summon doesn’t waste my battery? If sentry is off the car sleeps, otherwise normal battery drainage throughout the day.

Wow, so good looking with a nice car! i added the S3XY Commander, Strip, Knob and some buttons to mine.
I will probably remove the knob again, as I consider it superfluous and find its appearance distracting, but the buttons (especially the two on the back of the steering wheel in 3D-printed shift pedal housings) are very comfortable, and the S3XY strip also looks really good and does what it's supposed to do.
I also added a 2TB SSD to the USB Port in the glovebox, got the roof and rear windows tinted, added a LED Strip to the frunk for proper lighting, and replaced the LEDs in the trunk for better light in it. As i am from Europe i added some deep plastic trays for the footwell in winter, as well as in the trunk.
Have lots of fun with your new ride!

Sentry mode drains the battery

There are open vents underneath the front seats that will allow things like marbles or other items to roll or fall in.
Amazon sells them relatively cheaply so I would advise getting them ASAP.
