I built a real-time price tracker for Tesla's inventory

techyguy76 | 2026-03-02 21:20 | 335 views

Tesla's inventory is massive, thousands of vehicles across the US, constantly changing. Prices shift without warning. A car that was listed yesterday disappears today. If you've ever tried to seriously shop for a Tesla, you know the pain. Refreshing Tesla's site multiple times a day, manually comparing vehicles across tabs, trying to remember what that Model Y was priced at last week. Tesla doesn't show you price history, doesn't alert you when prices drop, and doesn't give you any real tools to compare or track vehicles over time. You're essentially flying blind. If I found out our favorite TeslaHunt is no longer operational. **That's why I built TeslaTracker.** TeslaTracker tracks every Tesla in US inventory in real time - new and used across Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck. It captures every price change, every new listing, and every vehicle that sells, automatically throughout the day https://preview.redd.it/fukf7fel7pmg1.png?width=2017&format=png&auto=webp&s=e4436049fe32c279f7b470f31c1d4f64a7a86fb1 You can see the full price history of any vehicle since the day it was listed, so you know whether a deal is actually good or if the price has been dropping steadily. Set up alerts and get an email the moment a price drops on vehicles matching your criteria - no more refreshing and hoping. Compare up to three vehicles side by side with specs, pricing, and history all in one view. Filter by model, year, mileage, color, location, FSD, and more to find exactly what you're looking for. The site **currently tracks over 4,000 vehicles and is updated multiple times daily**. It's completely free to use. Check it out at [https://teslatracker.com](https://teslatracker.com/).

This is VERY cool and easy to use. Bookmarking for when it's time to seriously start shopping for a replacement.

Any chance of an app in the future?

techyguy76 2026-03-02 23:34

Yes, I will definitely consider it. First, I want to see if the current version is really helpful to people and understand what features they would like to see in the future.

midnight_to_midnight 2026-03-02 23:44

So far the features I've seen and used (5-10 mins worth) have been great. One question I do have, is this just vehicle inventory of Tesla "dealers," or is it any dealer that has an online listing? My guess is just actual Tesla inventory, but I saw one listed at a location near me that I didn't know there was a dealer/service center there, so I was curious. Thanks. Great job on the site!

Great resource, thanks for sharing

chewythecat 2026-03-03 01:37

Is there a way to filter by sold vehicles so we can know how cheap a specific trim/configuration sold for?

zachg 2026-03-03 02:03

Gosh! This is really good. Excellent UI. Lover the color scheme and ease of use

secks_see_guy 2026-03-03 02:12

Would be great for Canada too!

wlkngmachine 2026-03-03 02:25

Very cool, can you filter by hw4?

mjsimmons1988 2026-03-03 04:27

This is amazing! Do you know if there’s any way to tell the build date of a certain car?

Historical_Tea1477 2026-03-03 07:08

Thanks for sharing!

AvgScientist 2026-03-03 08:37

I haven ever seen prices differ in EU

techyguy76 2026-03-03 09:31

We do capture that data, but we don’t display it. Tesla sells a large number of inventory vehicles every day, so showing all of them would clutter the inventory page. However, we can definitely use that data in our trends section so you can see the lowest, highest, and average prices people paid for sold vehicles. It’s a great suggestion, thanks.

techyguy76 2026-03-03 09:32

Yeah, will try to launch this month itself!

Your welcome!

techyguy76 2026-03-03 09:40

It’s an actual Tesla inventory vehicle. Visit Tesla’s official page for that VIN, where you’ll see the option available. Then enter your ZIP code on Tesla’s page.

rahiq 2026-03-03 10:28

I’m surprised there are none in Texas. I think maybe your code might be categorizing Texas as In Transit.

techyguy76 2026-03-03 10:39

It’s based on Tesla’s official inventory data. The vehicle may not be physically located in Texas right now. Tesla includes inventory marked as “In Transit,” and those vehicles can still be delivered to the nearest delivery location in Texas.

BoldCrunchyUsername 2026-03-03 12:47

Incredible! Can I filter by interior and exterior colors?

12bong13 2026-03-03 13:49

I second that!

captainsaverebornII 2026-03-03 16:53

They say tesla depreciates crazy but my 24 M3P 10k miles is going for $47k. Same as when i bought it.

Thegreatpraduu 2026-03-03 18:32

No option to filter by exterior, interior color and seat configuration for the model X?

Wow this is legit! Thank you! Will definitely help later when looking to buy!

bostonfern123 2026-03-04 00:52

Thank you for the good work. Two bugs report: I was checking on 2024 tesla model 3 RWD. I saw some with the title of Rear Wheel Drive. However, in a different place of the listing, it says "AWD". I also saw a 2024 model 3 RWD listing for 5YJ3E1EA8RF717735, which is $31200. However, when I searched [Tesla.com](http://Tesla.com) for a 2024 model 3 RWD, it doesn't show me such listing.

one_of_us31 2026-03-04 04:10

Love the charts ! May I ask what you used ? Europe needs something like this too.

BenchOrnery9790 2026-03-04 05:14

Hmm. This is a cool concept, but something isn’t right. Filtered for new car, model X California. No results, which is def not true. You should also set filters for seat layout, colors (interior/exterior). Demo Vs new

wrathslayer 2026-03-04 06:39

So this is great. Thanks!!

planetbuster 2026-03-04 06:56

this is made of awesome.

Fun_Ticket_7840 2026-03-04 06:56

Anything for Hawaii inventory? Or is it not shown because there’s no inventory here?

Semi_Retired_001 2026-03-04 16:09

Wow like this is awesome great job dude!

wayreid 2026-03-04 18:12

Using it now, thanks for building!

JakeThe1337 2026-03-04 19:01

Great tool! I agree this is much better than searching Tesla's website. Small suggestions: 1. I'd like ability to filter model y and model x by seating capacity. 2. I see the verbiage "every Tesla in US inventory" here and on the website - some may read this to mean every Tesla for sale in the US from Tesla *or anywhere else*, though I believe you mean to indicate tracking all inventory available directly from Tesla.

rahiq 2026-03-04 21:07

But I noticed but I noticed there are 0 of any type in Texas

Stealth022 2026-03-07 17:24

That would be awesome! I'm in the market for another car, and I have my eye on used Teslas at my local showroom, but being able to see the pricing over time would be amazing!

AssaultClipazine 2026-03-08 03:11

Yeah seems odd there are none in Texas. If you click through on some of them there's a "delivery location" address you can scrape

techyguy76 2026-03-08 10:58

The current state filter shows the physical locations of Tesla vehicles, but many of them can still be delivered to Texas. For some reason, the Tesla API does not show deliverable locations, which makes it difficult for me to display accurate delivery options. I do have a plan to fix this, but if you have any workaround I could implement, please let me know.

Money_Ad_6743 2026-03-08 20:12

This absolutely helped me with my buying process yesterday. Two aspects that was a gamechanger 1) enhanced filter to filter out states non-compatible with my state (which saved a ton of otherwise wasted time) and delivery date (so I can buy HW4 vs. HW3 by including only Jul'23 or later) 2) days in lot + price chart shows at what stage the specific inventory is within Tesla's dutch auction cycle. So I can confidently know if it is a good deal it can be improved by adding an email alert system of 1) when an inventory meeting specific set of criteria is added. and 2) when a favorited inventory drops below certain price.

techyguy76 2026-03-08 20:17

Glad to hear the tool is helping. Email alerts are already available. If you like a particular model, you can click the alert button and you’ll get an email when the price of that model drops. You can also set custom alerts using filters here: https://teslatracker.com/alerts.

Valley_hydroponica 2026-03-08 22:58

@u/techyguy76 Very nice tracker. Thanks for sharing. ![gif](giphy|L9Q2rzzBHrfv4a1y4h)

PM_ME_UR_FEET_FOTOS 2026-03-09 18:36

I'm not complaining but I've found plenty of Teslas not on your site. They lowest M3 is $17k but there are some out there for less than $10k

techyguy76 2026-03-09 18:42

https://preview.redd.it/athoksezd2og1.png?width=2882&format=png&auto=webp&s=634c8744103abbf418ec1d886023ef0eac6a99b8 TeslaTracker only scrapes vehicles from Tesla’s official inventory, not from every platform where Teslas might be listed for sale. That’s why you may see lower prices on other marketplaces that aren’t included here.

shockg911 2026-03-09 23:45

I just signed up! Looking for a Cybertruck in NJ. Hopefully it helps. Best of luck on your website 👍🏽

techyguy76 2026-03-10 09:55

Thanks. There are no Cybertrucks physically present in NJ. However, Tesla may deliver existing ones to the nearest Tesla center in NJ.

techyguy76 2026-03-10 09:56

Thanks Jake, I have added that filter. By the way, would you like to see all inventory if we implement that, or would you prefer showing only Tesla's official listings?

techyguy76 2026-03-10 09:57

We recommend selecting "Any State", Tesla can deliver most vehicles to any US address.

techyguy76 2026-03-10 10:00

We’ve added those filters, thanks for the suggestions. For Model X in California, TeslaTracker now shows accurate physical locations. The official Tesla website lists deliverable locations, while we display the actual physical inventory locations, that’s the difference. Tesla can deliver most vehicles to any address in the U.S.

techyguy76 2026-03-10 10:01

Thanks for catching those, both bugs are now resolved.

techyguy76 2026-03-10 10:02

We have added all of them, thanks!

techyguy76 2026-03-10 10:02

Done, added.

JakeThe1337 2026-03-10 15:47

Seats filter works great! Interesting question - Ideally when shopping I'm more interested in getting the right car than who is selling it to me, so I'd like to see Teslas for sale from all sources. However, I understand Tesla's pricing is more transparent than many dealerships (all their fees and mandatory add ons etc,), and Tesla warranties their used car sales, so adding non- [Tesla.com](http://Tesla.com) listings may be apples-to-oranges comparisons. So if you do add external sources, perhaps a visual indicator on the card indicating whether its from Tesla or external, and ability to filter on that would be great too.

techyguy76 2026-03-10 16:12

Hmm, that would be nice! Thanks for your suggestion.

bostonfern123 2026-03-11 06:56

I still see AWD in the listing while the title says Rear Wheel Drive.

techyguy76 2026-03-11 09:02

Could you please send the link to that model?

bostonfern123 2026-03-11 17:33

techyguy76 2026-03-11 17:37

Oh got it (AWD), let me check

techyguy76 2026-03-12 11:01

Thanks for all your help along the way; we’ve now permanently resolved that issue.
