Nice. 228 is really good for 19s I love my ion evos, I average around 220 wh/mi in my 2022 LR (SoCal)
Where do y'all find the best deal on these? I saw Walmart had a good price but I assumed there was some kind of catch. We also have discount tire in my area.
DT will also price match if you find a place online that’s not near you. I was in line trying to search prices a few weeks ago and the guy just said don’t worry about it and dropped the price a little. Like $80 or something. He knew the tires were exclusive to DT, but the just had great customer service in my experience.
How do you change the name to show hankook on the screen?
I’ll also add that I got mine at DT and the price in their system was different than what was online (it was cheaper). So you might have success going in person to get a quote. $297 online, $267 per tire in person.
You just tap that screen and it’ll give you the option to edit the name
Ah ok, thanks. I haven’t tried and this was new to see for me. I want to do it for my new Michelin’s
I’ve always used the continental purecontact RS that the car came with (2018 LR AWD). My most recent set has lasted past 50k miles in chill mode with about 3 or 4/32nds left today. Efficiency is averaging 255-265 across different seasons in Texas. My car is a commuter so I don’t care about high performance, just safety, noise, and tread life. What is your review of these Hankooks?
I was shocked how long my continentals lasted me. Thought I would’ve had to swap tires around 20k but I’m nearing 50k on my OG pair and about to change them.
These tires are great, but they don’t perform very well on snow or in cold weather. Expect to use chains when it’s snowing.
They’re great for tread life if you stay in chill most of the time! I probably have 1000 miles on sport/accel boost 3.7 0-60 and the other 49,000 are on chill. It’s just smoother and better
I had a set of these in my LR AWD. They were very good as far as Wh/mi is concerned. But they don’t last long AT ALL. I got roughly 22k miles in them before I had to change them because I didn’t feel safe driving in wet conditions. My OEM Hankook Kinergy GT got close to 40k miles so it wasn’t a product of my driving. That being said they do have a very good warranty so I got about $600 back toward my latest set. Ended up going with Michelin Defenders which definitely have higher rolling resistance, but they have much better traction and something like an 85,000 mile warranty.
I’ve got the same car and tires and average closer to 275 in Bay Area. Do you drive very slowly?
Can’t compare to the Contis, but they’re much quieter than the OEM Michelins that came with my 2022LR.
Probably slower than most, I set AP at 70 for my daily commute. 20 miles highway, 10 street. I live 600ft higher in elevation compared to the freeway, that definitely doesn’t help.
I'm enjoying mine... over 45,000 miles and still plenty of tread. Only one's I've replaced are due to huge pot hole blow outs. Thank goodness for Amerca's Tire certificates. Free tires! Also, zero sidewall bubbles unlike the OEM Michelin Pilot Sports. PS. I drive like a grandma, I was able to get 40K miles from my Michelin Pilot Sports, FYI.
Just got a pair. Hope they are as good as I've been reading
You aren’t driving this car right unless it’s 300-400 Wh/mile.
I drive around the speed limit so that might be why
If you ever need a set, switch to the Nokian One A/S. Way better Wh/mi (220Wh/mi in PHX, AZ driving these hard) as they are LRR tires made specifically for Tesla (Model S primarily), same tread warranty as well. When I swapped the Defenders on I went back to return them, I was getting stupidly highly Wh/mi which wasn’t worth the trade off before learning about those tires.
Just curious how is road noise compared to your previous tires?
Thank you!
They are noticeably quieter compared to my Michelins. I found it more noticeable at lower speeds. My car doesn’t have double pane windows though, so there’s a lot of external noise that comes through at high speeds
Pretty sure I’m getting these same tires for my next set. Have heard nothing but good things and I drove a new 3 with them recently and they are sooooo quiet. Very efficient too
Im also in the bay, I have a 24 M3P. When I’m in insane mode I don’t even bother monitoring. In chill I average around 200-235wh/mi. Normal street driving and 70-80mph on the highway. I did swap the 20” warp’s for a set of aftermarket rotary forged 18’s with a set of ion evo’s. I’m also lowered on coil overs, I’ve heard that helps range a bit but I’m not sure how much.
Fsd tesla
Put ours on in November. 23 M3 rwd Midwest and cold out. Was at 290 wh/mi but 2 weeks ago weather was in the 60s and had them at 247 wh/ml on highway going 72
They have been great! I did some more 60% city / 40% freeway driving and my Wh/mi is down to 226. Not significant but I’m frequently getting below 200 when I’m driving in the city with chill mode + speed limit
