I like the bottom light. Where did you get?
Thanks, it’s part of an aftermarket diffuser I replaced the factory plastic one with last month.
Your not Lewis Hamilton, you do NOT need an F1 brake light on a car let alone a Tesla 🤦♂️
Gross
Need no, but why not. I like the way it looks on a lot of non F1 cars tbh.
Oof
Gave you tail lights a gotee
the question is where dit you get it? why share it and then try to hide from where you ordered?
But… that’s a Model 3 LR.. not even worthy of the Plaid designation (you have 2 motors, not 3). Why do people do this? You probably put “GT” on your v6 mustang too.. 🤷♂️
Haha, goatee energy unlocked. Anyone else add mods that unintentionally added a little character?
Why does your car have a peepee?
I wasn’t trying to do that and shared the information so many times in the past when discussing the aero in previous content. Anyways, it’s a Yofer design diffuser for model 3. :)
Not a fan, but you do you
It’s a ludicrous symbol design which I liked over other designs they offered like eye balls or a battery percentage that I saw available at the time. Some people make such a big deal over these kinds of things. It’s just subjective to me. And no. there isn’t a performance badge on my car, it’s debadged except for the Tesla logo (just blacked out).
Plaid designation? I don’t see that on his car
Fair, appreciate the engagement.
Yea he’s off about that and the number of motors lol. Both the LR AWD and performance have 2.
What did you expect OP? These comments are always like this. They are most likely jealous. It's cool yours is unique.
Yep this forum loves nothing more than badge bashing
Thanks, I was expecting the hate but still wanted to share my experience for enthusiasts anyway. I know very well how this sub works with any car mods 🙄
My Plaid model X has 3. That was my point. The design you have on your 3rd brake light is the plaid pattern.. not the ludicrous pattern. You installed the plaid pattern thinking it was ludicrous (they look very similar but are different). You are repping Plaid when you’re not. Simple as that
I like it. Monotone diffuser match the whole car. It looks complete to me. Ignore the haters. I wouldn’t add anything else no reflector lights! I think it would be way too much. It looks great!
Hah I mean I get it but my intention was subtle aesthetic changes with this light cover only. I agree with not removing a long range badge and replacing it with a performance one as an enthusiast myself. That said, it does look silly to those who know about these cars but to the vast majority it wont ever matter.
Ah you’re right about the symbol not being the ludicrous but it’s not exactly looking like a plaid to me either. The product was just marketed that way so I miss typed that. I would’ve still chosen this over the other options. Just looks cleaner.
Thanks! Absolutely agree with you on the reflectors and have no intention to change them. The diffuser has interchangeable inserts for the trim and I do plan to move to a gloss black version when I get bored of the color matched pieces there currently.
It’s all good man. At least you own up to it. There is a guy in my neighborhood with a Model Y rocking a Plaid badge. We must have similar schedules because occasionally I end up at the same red light with him near our community. I pull up in my Model X Plaid and he won’t even make eye contact with me. One day I asked him.. “since when did Tesla offer Plaid for the Model Y?” He flipped me off. lol. Light turned green, he floored it. I waited until he hit the other side of the intersection and then floored it myself, embarrassing him. Two days later I pull up to a red light with the same white Model Y but a clearly recently removed Plaid badge (the adhesive residue he couldn’t remove completely). He looked at me and said “my bad bro, Respect!” Lol. The point is.. doing it for looks is one thing, but those who paid to play really frown upon it.
Ha, that’s a funny story. I mean racing with a model x or Y is just hilarious to me. I have and had a few other true sports cars (all of which aren’t as fast as a plaid when just originally stock) so I understand the sentiment. Personally, I don’t think a mod like this establishes that connection the same way as a rebadge would but that’s just my opinion. :)
How is it hating for sharing their opinions?
Either way… you aren’t fooling anybody! All good.
Yea that was never the intention. I’m old and don’t race anyone unless it’s with different cars on the track. This is my first Tesla, daily and I love how it’s coming along already. I will say it’s still nice that even the base model 3 dogs 90% of the cars on the road for light to light driving lol.
I put the new performance badge on my 2019 stealth performance model 3. What’s your view on this
I hear ya. My fun days are behind me as well. Married with 2 toddlers. No more Audi RS5 or S2000 anymore 😅. I got the Model X for the kids, the Plaid is for me. When I’m not with the wife and/or kids it’s fun to let the car rip.. not very often unfortunately.
If you like it, who cares hah. I actually think with AB and it’s sorta cool. I knew damn well there would be atleast a few performance owners that feel some sort of way about it but decided to share it anyway. Patiently waiting for AB to hit the highland in NA, hopefully in 2026. What a great value 👍🏽 enjoy the stealth.
It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. I wouldnt put the third light on my car. The badging is a small detail. But to say it wasnt executed well, is crazy. Its clean. He put effort and it look better and different. Most Teslas you see wrapped, RGB lighting, black added diffuser and lip (on a black car).
Awful
Damn u must get all the bitches
Swimming in pussy bro. Gotta sick your mom on them to get them to stop coming through
U should already know, most Tesla owners are not actual car enthusiasts.. ACTUAL car enthusiasts revel in the code "Built, not bought" and would appreciate these mods, like myself.. Meanwhile most of the haters and gatekeepers are moreso gna be along the lines of "Pay to play" or "Bought, not built" and don't respect all builds because why?... say it with me now - they are not actual car enthusiasts riiiight 😉 dnt let em get under ur skin. Its dope
🤡
Thanks , you’re right. Fortunately, I’ve met some owners that are like minded and been able to discuss opinions privately. Lots of old m3 non highland owners are knowledgeable and have given me important information that have helped me form decisions on the parts I chose.
Don't care for the bottom one.. but the one in the back window is fire.. Is that a kit? or how is it done?
Thanks, it’s just an overlay that slips between the glass and light. Takes about 30 seconds to install and is non invasive. I didn’t even use any adhesive, hasn’t moved.
Link please?
Unfortunately Ali express links don’t work here but this is the same thing I found, actually it looks better because it looks sized better and had more options for design. who cares
Thanks! Lots of cool options..
When you get to a point in your life where you can afford a $100k+ car and then see people “up badge” their $50k car to look like yours…. You’ll care. Clearly you haven’t reached that milestone yet 😘
“100k+ car” and still no pussy. I feel bad for you
Married with two kids.. the pussy stopped a long time ago brother! I wouldn’t talk if I was you… you are a white dude with dreadlocks making posts about how to get your girlfriend back. lol
Seems like you have bigger problems than worrying about the badge of someone else’s car
Because I took 30 seconds to reply to an upbadge post? Great arm-chair psychology bro!
