Bored of my 22’ M3P

Ok_Imagination7719 | 2026-02-17 21:28 | 21 views

I put down 130,xxx miles on it already and my wow factor is gone with the car. Barely gets 240 miles on a full charge. Not opposed to switch to an ICE vehicle just for the convenience. Let me know what I can do to get the wow factor again or to just switch vehicles.

The only wow factor is the acceleration and the novelty of that wears off quickly. I ve had mine for 2 years and I m going back to BMW. Sick of the rattles and cheap plastic everywhere.

BlueBeacon887 2026-02-17 21:53

Rent a like Camry or something for a few days lol. Nothing short of pretty much supercars or really expensive German cars will give you a similar feeling of performance. BMW M3/Audi RS3 similar vibes but much more $$$$ and reliability that is pretty awful.

CapnAhab_1 2026-02-17 21:53

Coilovers? Wheels? Switch it up to get the love back. 240 miles isn't bad still considering it probably only got 270 ish full charge when it was new?

TheDavidCall 2026-02-17 22:08

I agree with the other poster. Drive anything else that costs the same or less, and come back from your anger and annoyance to your great car :)

The 2024+ Highland Performance is a huge step up in every way. https://preview.redd.it/gzhpoxh6p4kg1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70c1d4865d27a7058914940ee0022392bb6ff244

Plaid or Cybertruck

dkizzz 2026-02-17 22:21

Coilovers and spacers made my ride superb. 22 LR w/ Boost and I don’t lust over any other car.

Kuerayzie_Gemini 2026-02-17 22:30

Sheesh 130k miles on a 22???

Prestigious-Law5273 2026-02-17 22:39

My m3 has an endless supply of places rattling. Fix one and another pops up.

TaxFraudCPA 2026-02-17 22:39

If you care about sound, get a G80 or G87 and upgrade exhaust. G80 is still fast but now you get the rush of the engine noises and burbles. But tbh once the fun of the bmw wears off you start looking into Porsche/used Lambo territory so you’ll be back at square one.

Omacrontron 2026-02-17 22:49

Yeah, I’m ready for the pay by mile registration to fck these people so I don’t have to pay 500 to register anymore lmao.

Macnit 2026-02-17 22:56

Yeah, there are plenty of Cybertrucks to choose from. 🤭

turns2stone 2026-02-17 23:07

I think this is your attempt to be sarcastic, but there are literally no 'inventory' Cybertrucks to be purchased via Tesla right now.. and used models are near MSRP. I think this shortage will be short-lived, so yes the OP should be able to get one soon.

MeasurementMother579 2026-02-17 23:17

Drive it more. 130k is not nearly enough driving IMO. In all honesty though, try a refresh Model 3 Performance. OR, go all out and try to find a 6-spd CT5V-Blackwing.

Macnit 2026-02-18 00:22

I don't know where you get your information, but this is from an article from Forbes: As of early 2026, reports indicate that Tesla has an inventory of **over 10,000** **unsold Cybertrucks** sitting in lots across the United States. This stockpile is estimated to be worth approximately **$800 million**.  https://preview.redd.it/jyvqgc3tc5kg1.png?width=128&format=png&auto=webp&s=448dc8a68ff7db94226ab96c98b37e0ffe464808

Macnit 2026-02-18 00:25

Used ones: * **Market Trends & Availability** * **Depreciation**: The Cybertruck has seen a year-over-year price drop of approximately **12.3%**. Some analysts predict that prices for older 2024 models could eventually stabilize near **$50,000 - $65,000** as the market corrects. * **Inventory**: There are currently hundreds of used Cybertrucks listed nationwide on platforms like [Edmunds](https://www.edmunds.com/used-tesla-cybertruck/), [CarGurus](https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-Tesla-Cybertruck-d3353), and [TrueCar](https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listings/tesla/cybertruck/).

turns2stone 2026-02-18 00:33

Those got sold to SpaceX and/or UAE. You can check yourself, try to buy a new Cybertruck from Tesla’s inventory. There are zero. Occasionally the discontinued RWD version pops up. Wait times for new models are quoted as delivery estimates in 6-8 weeks, and plenty of forum “waiting room” threads show people who ordered in Dec/Jan with no delivery ETA. You literally cannot buy one today if you tried. Thanks for nothing, Forbes? So yeah that’s where the info comes from.

Macnit 2026-02-18 01:19

Enjoy the Kool-Ade.

turns2stone 2026-02-18 01:27

Enjoy living in an alternate reality. Nothing I posted is incorrect, as of today.

turns2stone 2026-02-18 01:30

No need to "predict"... we have real data, and none of the completed sales support those prices. [https://imgur.com/a/XFvRe6T](https://imgur.com/a/XFvRe6T) Of course a 12% price drop is expected... as typical for most <$100K cars. Doesn't change the fact that there are no new ones available for immediate delivery, and used prices are only a few thousand less than MSRP.

Macnit 2026-02-18 01:54

Elon dumped 10,000 that had been sitting lots to his other companies so he can create a “shortage” to try to make people think they are in demand. Only 60,000have been sold world-wide since they were introduced, way below his predictions of 250,000.

Desperate-Review-727 2026-02-18 03:08

You seem to be drinking it more than him lol

CapnAhab_1 2026-02-18 08:37

I'm so tempted to do this with my 21 LR. Did you notice any motorway / highway efficiency increase (with the coilovers), and have you ever caught the bottom of the car on anything? That'd be my only worry

CapnAhab_1 2026-02-18 08:37

And youve got to rent M Sport suspension in the app haven't you? 😁 9.99 a month

Suvi2k 2026-02-18 15:19

How has your experience been after 130k miles though? Any unwanted maintenance or issues? Personally, I just got my first Tesla and love the convenience and performance of it over any of my previous ice cars. Not sure I’ll ever go back but I usually keep car for a very long time also.

dkizzz 2026-02-18 17:41

No noticeable increases/decreases in efficiency, but I did have the car raised a bit from what I initially had it lowered to because I was scraping a bit. Wheel gap looks good and I don’t scrape anymore, so I think I found a good balance.

SadVersion7146 2026-02-23 17:25

I have a 22 BMW M4 comp 25k miles and I cant believe I am saying this... I am toying with the idea of selling it and getting a M3P.
