Turns are going to take getting use to... but luckly I use fsd 90% of the time 🤣.. besides that its fine

Damn people hate the yoke. I got one and love it. If you’re not completely brain dead you’d have no problem but I could see some amoeba panic and reach for the non existent top part lmao.

Actually they make round steering wheels that work better and you don't need to get used to. Might be worth a look.

That’s why I got the cybertruck wheel for my 3 but haven’t put it on yet for fear of activating the airbag and totaling the car

Dawg lemme see how that looks when you get around to it cus I love that wheel but wasn’t sure how it would look and it was expensive.

Few things, first is that I love the Carbon Fiber on the wheel and the updated top above the vents Second thing: can you please provide the link for the mini-screen and install instructions (it’s freaking awesome) Third thing: What year is the car and if it matches the 2022 M3LR physical design, did you bother disconnecting the 12V or HV batteries? If you did disconnect the batteries, how did you do the HV one? I’ve been sitting on a CT style for my M3 but am waiting to be confident in removing the HV

Hell yeah How do you shut off the power, or is it mostly just the power off on the screen and keep a door open? Do you unplug the 12v or leave that plugged in as well?

Did not touch either battery, no need to. Safety-->>power off is all is needed, when removing and reinstalling the airbag, besides that its pretty straightforward!

You're going into it with the right attitude. Owning a Tesla generally is about being open to new ideas and being patient enough to give those ideas a chance. The yolk took a little time to get used to but I would not choose a round wheel if given free. Literally the only time you ever run into any difference is doing three-point turns. Everyone likes to over inflate the problems but the reality is most of the time you're not really turning the wheel that far outside of turning around.

I just don’t understand the point. I have a model 3, and no instrument panel on the dash. So why take the time and money to put a yoke on my car when it’s going to take an adjustment to something I’ve been doing for a long time. I don’t hate it, I think it looks decent. But it’s literally one of the most famous sayings ever. “Don’t reinvent the wheel”

Yeah when I need to turn it really quick I kind of hook inside one of the holes on the left or right and just sort of spin it that way and find it to be very easy.

I'll piggyback off yours since it's more useful that OPs regarding FSD. I have a much more stock looking yoke I purchased off Amazon from all places. Heated, same coloring as OEM wheel, nothing gaudy and outlandish. That said I adore it too, for 120 bucks to replace the peeling OEM wheel it was perfect. I think it opens up the cabin and it's actually very comfortable I like resting both hands on top while actively driving. During FSD it's shaped ideally to lightly rest one hand in the bottom to reduce bags. Wife loves it too. So that's a huge plus too.

I would recommend the real carbon fiber cover thing, it’s not that much more.

I looked at it, was only carbon fiber on the sides, I like how this looks better. But some may like the side look better! :)

Yeha, I didnt like the full steering wheel because it interfered with the dash screen, now it all looks good, and much cleaner driving

I don’t think you’ll take long at all. I had it down the first day, I have roundabouts all the here, in my case, they are just more intuitive and it really makes the cluster panel so much easier to see.
