Should I go from a 21' SR+ to 2022 or 2026 M3P

If the 2026 is comfortably within budget I don't understand why you'd look at the 2022?

Keep the $25k and buy the 22

If I am missing anything. I am sure it is not twice as good for twice the money but if you factor in maintenance, warranty etc. I am leaning towards the new one. Just wanted to hear y'all's opinion if I am making a huge mistake.

The 2021 SRP should have intel computer and heat pump. You can buy the HW3 upgrade for 1k if you don’t have it. So upgrading to a 2022 is pointless unless you want the Ryzen chip and LR. To me that would be would that upgrade at a VALID PRICE. But since you said you are plan on keeping your car. Are you honestly going to drive your SRP after buying a new Performance model? That’s the real Question. If you asking if you should upgrade I assume you can already afford it.

I think you misread that: I need to sell the SR+ and yes it already has HW3 and the intel cpu. The upgrade has to happen either way I am just more or less asking if the price difference is worth it and if I missed any features that the new 2026 has that the 2022 doesn't.

Tbh it's the sound insulated windows and updated suspension that make it worth twice as much for me - this is based on the non performance versions - on top of the new car benefits. Ultimately though it's up to you. The way I'd look at it is that if the extra money is gonna be something I'd notice or if it'll just be a slightly more expensive bill..

The money has to go either way otherwise half of it is going towards taxes... I did have a 2024 m3p for a couple of months and back then I did not notice it as much. However it absolutely is noticeable and what I am missing the most right now is the Ryzen.

Unless you want FSD (if your country has it) or need the increased range/performance, it's *really* not worth upgrading.

Financially 22 will make most sense. If you get a car that is still within the 80k/4y warranty you can even get the control arms etc. done under warranty. Brakes also do not have to be necessarily a problem if previous owner used them sometimes. If you do not count the degradation, range will not be much less, Highland Performance is very thirsty from what I read. On the other hand Highland is much nicer experience overall, at least when comparing our previous 21' SR+ with current 24' SR. Rides better, interior feels much more premium and it is noticeably more quiet. All 26' Performance versions also have the bigger battery that charges faster and stalk is standard feature again. On the last note I would be potentially interested in buying out your 21' Model 3. We can exchange contact details in the private message.

Get a 23 if you are ok with HW3, or go with a 24 if you want HW4 both of those are lower price point and will still be under warranty if you get one with lower miles. I just bought a 23 with 20k miles for $23k

I wish the used marked prices would make sense in Germany. Ontop of that I can't buy from individuals because of VAT which really narrows it down to either a new one or a 23'. Getting the 23' would be a bet against FSD ever coming to Germany.
