Wait -- the latest will get to you, you cannot force them as I know it. Just make sure the car is connected to wifi when it's parked and it should catch up.

Your map data is waaaaaay too old to run any later version of FSD. Might need to book it in as if you have a stuck update that’s pre-download then it will need to be hammered before you’ll get anything newer. If the previous owner didn’t want to update (or they just never used WiFi) then your car could also now be blocked. There have been many security revisions since that version so you will probably have to have a few staged updates sent manually before it’ll allow auto OTA updates. Best thing to do is start an appointment and get Tesla to look at it.

Im new to Teslas, would this be something i has to pay for? I bought this car from a third party dealer that didnt even know the car had FSD included
I’m assuming you’re in North America (with the FSD request) Here in Europe, remote assistance is free and you only get charged if the car needs to go into a service center for out of warranty repairs. You can always reject costs if you don’t approve. Start a request through the app and they can take it from there. (If you weren’t aware, you take “ownership” of your car through the app and that will give you access to the cars remote features and allow service requests)

Tesla will charge you to upgrade the software manually. I would set up Wi-Fi so the car can see your network and upload/download to the Tesla servers. Flip software you advanced and wait a few days. If you don't get any updates that means you will need Tesla to install the updates manually and that is something they will charge you for.
No. All model 3's have cabin cameras. It wouldn't be on 11.x with HW 2.5 anyway. Make sure you are set for advanced updates, make sure you have consistent wi-fi, and try holding down both scroll wheels for a reboot. If that doesn't work then it's probably stuck due to outdated maps. Those should update automatically. Otherwise, it's a visit to the service center.

Looks like problems with certificates if its not downloading Software. Does it connects to phone? If yes try to connect to wifi. If no you should go to officials to restore the certificates.
Speaking of that when i try using apple music/spotify it gives me a media playbaxk error, can only connect music thru bluetooth
Yes. They could have parked in apartment garage where there's no wifi. And maybe didn't use wifi Hotspot on their phone to update it. Or it could be stuck and service may need to manually push the update. Wait a week then open a service request for old software and see if they can fix it remotely.
Is this in the US? You got a problem you need to contact support.. It should have downloaded FSD 12.6.4 long long ago (regardless of if advanced is selected or not). The fact that it says it just checked 2 days ago and is "up to date" indicates a problem that likely only Tesla can fix. Hopefully they just need to reset something on their end.
I just got off the phone with support, they said they manually sent a update request and i should receive it once im connected to strong wifi. Said if that doesnt work , i have to bring it in for service
I think you got a problem, it just checked for updates 2 days ago and it should have seen the 12.6.4 out there for it long long ago and definitely 2 days ago.

Half true, you’ll be alerted on the app that an update is available to download
Contact support in the phone app, they should be able to force a reboot/update to your car (assuming you’re in WiFi range or hotspot)
Trust me don't do it it naggs 10x more PLUS it bricked my car my AP computer started overheating so that **could** be why mines a 2023.

I updated to 12.6.4 highest for HW3 and my computer started overheating, they couldn't solve it so owners that complained in cooler climates they basically turned of preconditioning on the cars completely to keep the AP computer cold. This was on 2023 model 3s in colder climates, did not seem to be for cars in warmer climates. Also this update means FSD will nagg at you for looking out the side window more etc. things were a lot better before this update for me after this EVERYTHING went downhill for my car.
The car gets notified about updates over LTE then downloads them on Wi-Fi.

Nope, it can check for updates on cellular. WiFi is needed for download.

no i tried to write something with out my glasses on.
The premium connectivity upgrade is needed to use streaming apps directly from the car. It’s $10/month, but makes it much easier to navigate through the car display.
Yeah the car came with premium connecttivity u til march 15 however the data keeps cutting off. At this point not sure if i just need that software update badly or if i also need to replace my connectivity board
