Hi. I think you should buy something you can afford and actually want. The LR RWD is a perfectly capable car. As a fjeldabe myself, I’d recommend AWD to other fjeldaber, simply because it gets you anywhere on winter roads. But unless you’re heading to Møllehøj in winter or you really want maximum acceleration, the RWD is the sensible choice. Fornuftigt.

switched form a RWD to a Performance myself. Always enjoyed more the purity of the rwd, the awd sometimes tends to plow trough the corners at high speed, but when it snows it’s no match.

If possible I would always pick AWD.

Been driving a LR RWD in the Nordics now for a year and have yet seen the need for an AWD. The car is very competent in winter conditions with proper tires.

Was for the sound system alone

I only had two reasons to get the AWD -- it was an exceptionally snowy week the day I ordered AND I really really wanted the premium sound system.... its a bummer you cant order it with the RWD.

Stick with LR RWD for the insane range. I own an AWD and tried the RWD and honestly can't tell the difference behind the wheel.
