Unless that car cost less than $5000, leave it be. You can get a decent used Mod3 from Direct from Tesla for cheap these days.

If the title shows rebuilt or salvage you will have to pay \~2000 USD to get it inspected and back on the Supercharger network. It is probably a good car. You wont have a warranty, but most things can be fixed cheaply other than a battery going out. If this is a 2022 you may have the more reliable LFP battery, which would be good for a car with no warranty. I would probably pay $12-14k for it.

You have to pay for teslas to inspect it and reactivate it to be able to supercharge it again …and who knows what else they will find …unless they are selling it for like 4,000i wouldn’t bother

If it just needs 2 doors and it's not a salvage it could be a good deal but if you have to ask it's usually a bad idea.

Not a huge repair. You may lose access to the supercharger network though.

?? Cheapest Tesla direct on the app is like 18k

I think Tesla recently discontinued this service 2 months ago. He’s stuck off teslas network for life

Get a 30% tint for that plastic.

Tweaked frame and compromised battery 🚩

I had a rebuilt title tesla for a couple of years and I never bothered to get it recertified. The only time it was a pain was when I would go on road trips. I had a Tesla to CCS1 adaptor that would allow me to charge at 150kW on Electrify America stations. But they arent as common as superchargers and they were more often broken or full

Jorch301 2026-02-06 20:58

Also walk away, Tesla parts are hard to come by.

If it's not a salvage and was fixed by a Tesla certified shop, it should be fine and will still have the factory warranty. But if it's a salvage then you will need to pay to use supercharging (and maybe needs an inspection?)

These boots were made for walking…

Chances are it has super charging and even third party level 3 fast charging disabled since this car was in an accident. Once this car is fixed you have to pay Tesla $5k or $7k for inspection. And if they think you did a good job repairing they will turn on fast charging. I don’t think it’s worth it.

You should be able to use the vehicle for uber to help with repair costs in it’s current condition

ZealousidealDraw4075 2026-02-08 22:30

Its always more damage than just the 2 doors, pay 20k and twice the mileage and have a good car

You didn't even ask a proper question.
