tracked my total range over the last few years

i also have the temps at the points, not entirely sure on how to add them. i used Home Assistant to automatically log the data once the charge reached 65%. the total range is what the car expects to be able go with that charge. should find a way to check that with the odometer.

Interesting, from my knowledge the car's estimated range is just EPA estimate and doesn't actually take into account temps or even much of battery degradation. It's interesting that ur result vary so much. Did you do a battery test right before the huge drop at the end?

I didn't, I dont know what that drop is, all I can think of in that time it has been cold. But you say it doesn't take that into account. Maybe I need to figure out how to add the odometer in to it.

I thought the range estimate does take into account degradation for battery capacity but still just extrapolates range using the EPA efficiency ie. though there’s an offset vs real range, it is still a usable indicator of battery health.

Correct, but it has to be slowly charged to 100% and 99%->100% takes almost 1 hour if last full charge was long time ago. As any Li battery - BMS needs to recalculate from time to time.
