I’m in Seattle and I get lot of dirt or brake dust splattered to the rear of the car (wish I took photo but raining outside and currently cozy inside :) But will mudflaps fix all or most of this If yes where are some good ones 😀

Yes. I got rally armor mudflaps. Expensive for mudflaps but i love how they look

Maybe, but if you do buy them, either buy them with PPF film to protect the paint where the mudflap touches the paint, or buy some PPF and put it under the mounting location.

You mean the mud flap has a coating off ppf? Is it dude to the rubber material maybe rubbing the paint somehow or way?

PPF is separate from the mudflap. And yes, the mudflap gets dirt behind it and moves and vibrates over time, which scratches the paint.

Also, they will custom make them without the front hole if you want. That’s how I ordered mine.

So get the mud flap and have a ppf shop cover it. Wouldn’t it look like it’s purchased and unwrapped look and glossy?

No, the ppf goes on the paint. By itself. Not on the mudflap.

lol that’s right … are there exact areas that require protection and guessing you can get it online and slap it on yourself since it must be small area.. front and back? If there’s a link perhaps then I’ll start researching. Going to a ppf place charge a lot for something small as this Unless it requires whole panel

Again, just where the mudflap touches. And you can buy some online inexpensively, cut it, and install it yourself. Or buy mudflaps that come with it.

I got the Model 3 (front) mudflap kit for my Tesla free a few months after I bought it, 2019. Finally put them on about 3 years ago. They would constantly scrape ground on any bump. Turns out that connection arm joints(?) were worn. An adventure where the tire failed on the interstate. We go a flatbed 20 miles into town, the truck operator pointed out the inside edge of both front tires had worn though to the steel wires although the outsides looked fine. The giveway we should have seen was a bit of camber (leaning) in the front wheels. Oh well, at 4 years it was time for new summer tires anyway. Discount Tire had the right ones in stock, half an hour later (they stayed an extra 10 minutes after closing) we were on our way. Tesla fixed the arm issue when we got home. After that, the flaps scraped a lot less.
