I tried a high power 10 jl w3 with a 750 watt amp, car started throwing errors. Dual 10 jlw0 with a 500 watt amp stays stable. It was about a 1000$ with install. For 12s you will need an extra battery. dual 10s are loud enough, but won’t really shake the front seat, so for that I bought 2 woojer vest 4 for front seat. I love the results.

If you tap off the penthouse, those nuts aren’t reusable, be careful not to strip the bolt when installing the new one

https://www.woojer.com/ they sell a seat attachment and power by usbc, but from the lighter as that provides more power. Look up LOC(line output converter) your gonna need one to turn the speaker wire signal into stereo the red and white cables. Then you will convert to regular 3.5 mm to plug into the woojer.

If i do the dual it wont effect the rest of the speakers will it?

Do you have premium sound? If not look up a speaker harness wire to turn on the front speakers or the dual subs will be too much. If you have premium audio then duals would match better

The wall outlet charger barely draws power. Unless you were there for days or desperately needed 1-2% to make it to a supercharger, plugging it in like this was totally pointless.

I was there helping him with his business all day got me a good charge till I left and hit a super charger

2021 I installed an NVX stealth box 10" sub. It has worked great and adds nice punch at the lows.

Basically under the rear seat is the battery penthouse, power conversion unit etc. you can tap off the 12V line going from the PCS positive terminal to the front battery instead of running a wire all the way to the front of the car the terminal has a single use nut and trying to reinstall it can actually break that terminal, an expensive repair that requires opening the battery pack

Oh bet ya ima just leave all that to the professionals and if they break it they can pay to fix it

I just picked up a Alpine PSS-TSUB-T3A Is a 10" direct fitment to replace stock sub, comes with the box that fits over wheel well, amp and all wiring harnesses. They also make various replacement speakers specifically for the Tesla. I'll be installing the sub this weekend.

I have an alpine kit I can sell that’s unopened, but you should probably take it to a pro audio shop to get installed - it’s not good out of the box. There’s a whole write up about it on Reddit somewhere.

What was the reason you didn’t go with a Y? Affordability? Literally do not see the 3 being anything other than affordable. Not sleek not cool not even comfortable. Seriously I’m surprised you guys were okay with these lemons.

Hey OP, I have a JL Audio W3 in a sealed box under the sub trunk area. Its running off a JL audio JD500/1. Using LC2i pro as my LOC. if ur going to get the LC2i make sure to get the pro. The non pro version has a steep roll off after 30hz. This amp has given me 0 issues. I've tried a more powerful amp but it makes the car freak sometimes. There are workarounds I just didn't want to go through with it. The JL setup cost be around $500. My buddy helped me build the box since he is handy with wood work. NVX and Skar make prefab enclosures for the side area if that interests you. If u want the wiring diagram to be able to do a more powerful amp lmk and I can PM you.

this\^ The NVX NDA 1200.1 I tried out made my car freak a couple times. Had to disconnect my battery on and off to remedy. 500w seems to be within the cars comfort without any wiring modifications. Anything more than that and u need to do the resistors or whatever.

2019 M3P 1500w skar amp with 2x 12 inch 600w rms skars Wiring is pretty easy Starting off of the positive terminal under the rear passenger seat Positive > 200amp inline fuse > 200amp battery isolator > 200 amp inline fuse > interstate battery > 150 amp inline fuse > amp, (in this order. Make sure to install the fuse coming from the cars battery terminal VERY LAST) Make sure the battery isolator is grounded, battery is grounded, and amp is grounded with solid connections, Find a solid 12v source for your remote wire. I had very little install experience before starting my install, I used multiple different articles and forums to piece together my own guide, along with some ChatGPT use. I’ve had everything installed for about 6 months with no issues. (I always recommend seeking professional help) But it is definitely something that could be done at home at your own risk.
