20” Model Y rims on a Model 3 + Spacers

Ok-Pirate4274 | 2026-01-27 01:08 | 61 views

Recently upgraded my stock 18” aero wheels to the 20” Model Y Induction rims with low profile rubber bands. (245/30R20). Added spacers as well for a wider body look. Performance wise I do get a bit less range and I have to be very careful around potholes and speed bumps, but it does look sleek on the car.

But why is it pink

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 01:14

because i’m a girl!

TheMuffStufff 2026-01-27 01:16

Looks good. Needs to be lower.

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 01:18

How do I achieve that? Any recommendations?

TheMuffStufff 2026-01-27 01:18

Lowering springs or coilovers. A 1-1.5” drop would look nice with the new wheels.

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 01:19

I seeee, will definitely be lowering the car soon.

FunkHavoc 2026-01-27 01:24

Don’t lower. If you already have to be extra careful around pot holes and such that’ll make it worse.

HoneyMousse22 2026-01-27 01:24

Is it a wrap or paint? How much did it cost? I wanna make mine pink so bad 😭

FunkHavoc 2026-01-27 01:25

That’s rich to assume only girls and pink are correlated. Totally kidding

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 01:29

It’s a wrap! I’m from Vancouver Canada and it only costed me 1.9k. It’s a pretty good deal for a high quality wrap.

HoneyMousse22 2026-01-27 01:31

Its absolutely beautiful 😍

deej628 2026-01-27 01:31

It looks great

The_FlatBanana 2026-01-27 01:33

They have to be careful because they are driving on rubber bands. A thicker sidewall would help.

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 01:43

thank you

30 ratio? Damn! My spine hurts just looking at those, ha.

Dildo-Gaggins_ 2026-01-27 02:14

I’ve been thinking of doing this combo for ages and haven’t seen many pictures of it online. This looks great! Do you have more photos from different angles?

Any other pics???

Looks great! Needs to be lower and it will be perfect!

MurkyTomatillo192 2026-01-27 03:35

Well, it’s certainly a choice

[deleted] 2026-01-27 03:37

Looks good, but out of place.

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 03:41

I’m personally going for a black on pink look. What do you recommend?

[deleted] 2026-01-27 03:46

It’s just that I’m used to seeing those rims on model y, so when I see them on a 3 something just feels like odd.

exgokin 2026-01-27 04:02

If you plan on lowering, don’t put the lowering springs in old struts. Your ride will degrade fast. I did mine with only 14k miles. My ride quality is just fine.

mmMOUF 2026-01-27 04:38

Looking like a covered wagon rn

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 04:47

Noted thank you!

deja_vu_1548 2026-01-27 06:20

Why would you do that? I'm considering taking my mY to 18" from stock 19".

Ok-Pirate4274 2026-01-27 06:26

Mostly for aesthetics, if you are mainly trying to get a smoother ride, better range, and cheaper tires, go for 18”.

huh_say_what_now_ 2026-01-27 08:36

Aw god you need to lower it, it looks so weird

CousinEddysMotorHome 2026-01-27 12:27

Color is 🤮
