Northeast SnowStorm

If anyone is wondering how these cars are in the snow they’re pretty good to me. Granted I did get brand new OEM Michelin primacy’s in August and I have less than 3k on them but the car felt really stable 99% of the time. I could feel all the wheels engaging. I did accelerate hard sometimes to “powerslide”. I got through an un paved alleyway which barely cleared the bottom of the car. I got stuck one time which was user error, I completely under estimated the depth of a ramp and got stuck. I was high centered and after 3 hours my buddy had to tow me out. Somehow at the end of the snow storm on my way home with no snow on the highway I lost 3 Aerocovers. 🤣🥲 I left work with all 4 on got home with only 1

The much finer control you get over the throttle with an EV with an ICE vehicle really helps.

The regen braking is better in snow than pedal braking but you still need to use the pedal

I actually felt like that’s when I had the least amount of control. When regen was applied I could feel the car slip a little

After I nearly spun out and almost fucking died on stock mxm4's about 4 winters ago, I ditched them and got crossclimate2s.

You want maximum control over the vehicles speed in the snow, I always set Regen to low in weather like this.

Bummer on the wheel covers. I took mine off for the winter figuring deeper snow would get behind them and pop them off. Looks like you proved my theory correct. But to keep it looking good I put on center caps. $60 from Tesla

My M3P Highland is on the stock PZero summer rubber and also still did really well. Granted it’s TX, but ice is ice!

My M3P Highland came with all seasons but I put all weather on, but I'm in MN.
