2025 M3P Matte

TechieBrad | 2026-01-20 04:04 | 242 views

Just thought I’d share. This car has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I will never buy another ICE vehicle again. FSD is perfect for people who don’t like driving.

Very nice, I want to upgrade to a perf so badly. I have two 25 RWDs I would debate it too

How much did the matte cost? Want to do the same when I get my M3P later this year

LoveM3zz 2026-01-20 04:14

How do the wheels feel? Are they rough for daily?

TechieBrad 2026-01-20 04:16

They’re stock. Very firm. You feel every bump. PSI Around 42.

I got a couple quotes. 7500 from a local place And 6000 from a very reputable place called auto film specialists in Houston. Went with the cheaper, more reputable place.

I am considering wrapping my car too. As stupid as this sounds, do these wraps normally cover your paint chips, etc or was this just a film to make it appear Matte? It looks beautiful. I have considered a wrap myself, also owing a M3P quicksilver.

I have a 2019 M3P and love it. Considering the matte wrap but how long does it last and and what is maintenance like for the wrap?

Odd-Win-5362 2026-01-20 11:35

I will get a tesla when it has unsupervised fsd

TechieBrad 2026-01-20 12:55

It most definitely will not cover your paint chips. I decided to do mine after I got a few chips. Even the matte color doesn’t cover it. It does help very little, but don’t expect matte PPF to conceal chips.

I hand wash 1-2 times a month, no automatic car washes. Nothing with brushes at least. My warranty is ten years. I’m coming up on year one. So far I’ve had to bring it in a few times to fix some peeling, and general maintenance. After a car is wrapped in PPF you’ll always be required to bring it in for a follow up to trim any pieces that lifted or get out any tiny air bubbles. Get it done in the summer. The heat/sun helps it cure better.

That was my plan too. When they announced they were getting rid of the 7500 EV credit, that’s when I pulled the trigger.

💯

Looks great..

Do it. The M3P is amazing.

starkiller_bass 2026-01-20 16:29

I'd do a well-leveled chip touchup first and then wrap it - touchup paint never has the right finish or texture but the wrap should mostly hide that.

starkiller_bass 2026-01-20 16:30

Much better than the old performance wheels (because they are MUCH lighter weight and respond to bumps better)

starkiller_bass 2026-01-20 16:33

I have a theory that the people who buy the Performance model actually WANT to drive the car and don't really want unsupervised FSD.

Odd-Win-5362 2026-01-20 16:36

Did you even read the post?

starkiller_bass 2026-01-20 16:43

Does anyone?

Odd-Win-5362 2026-01-20 16:45

I do, they said they bought the performance model and fsd is perfect for not having to drive lol

starkiller_bass 2026-01-20 16:46

OP is entitled to their opinion but they're wrong and I hate them.

Odd-Win-5362 2026-01-20 16:46

Rip lol

LeadReverend 2026-01-21 21:58

That's sexy.
