Traded in my 2023 LRMY for a 2026 M3P

After paying off my Model Y I decided to trade in the car for a M3P as mentioned in the title. I ordered the car on Jan 5th and it was ready for delivery on Jan 8th. The process was a lot faster than expected! I was able to take delivery the same week I ordered the car and the trade it process was super simple. Tesla only asked for pictures of the car and one of the inside. I was quoted $27,700 trade in value with 19,300 miles on it. I was also given a $500 loyalty bonus off the new car. The M3P is definitely a big difference over the Y most notably the space and height difference. The updated interior and performance version definitely sold it for me. I used the space of my Y when I first got it and over the last year have declined the need. I have wanted a M3P/MS type car since I was looking around and using the equity I had on my Y helped pay for my 3. I loved the idea of the roadster and an electric sports car in general. The M3P satisfies my dream car in 2026. After a week of owning the 3 it definitely is too much fun to drive even if I hadn’t had a chance to fully experience it yet. The updated interior is wayyy better than previous versions and it feels more spacious than I originally remember, driving a 2023. The 2026 also comes with a new camera on the front bumper and blacked out Tesla logos. It’s a big technological, design and speed upgrade over the Y. There’s still a lot to experience with the car. I am also thinking of what kind of accessories I need other than mats. Thoughts

I’m a fan of screen protectors. They tend to make fingerprints show less. PPF if you get annoyed by rock chips. Mud flaps if you don’t PPF all the impact areas. If you travel, I recommend a spare tire kit, tire inflator kit, and charge cable lock (prevents people from unplugging your car when using the J1772 adapter)

Yes! A screen protector is one of the first accessories I purchased. I have been considering PPF but it is kinda pricey but worth in the long run. One of the things my dad has recommended is a spare tire just in case, idk if new or used is worth. Currently I am not too concerned with people unplugging as I supercharge atm, I am trying to install a home charger. Thank you!

Swivel screen is one of those upgrades for me. Absolutely not necessary but does help see the screen better for me and keep eyes on the road best possible.

Bravo! HUGE upgrade.

I can see why than would be a good upgrade, although I am not crazy about using the screen while driving. I only use it realistically to change music and dash cam. I know that one is a hassle to do as well.

I traded my Nov 2022 MY LR with gemini wheels (with the comfort suspension build) for a 2026 M3P. I'm surprised that the M3P, supposedly a sports sedan, rides so much better than the MYLR. The suspension actually absorbs bumps and not just throw me off my seat.

Yes but it is also a lot closer to the ground which can be a little sketchy. I have to be more careful of bumps and pot holes. With my Y I wouldn’t even think twice about them, the 20” wheels definitely help with control. M3P is a great car thus far, congrats!

Nice to hear your feedback. I’m thinking of doing the same thing coming from a 2021 LRMY. I used the larger space before but have outgrown it over the years and I’m thinking of something smaller and sportier. I love the updates for 2026. Congrats!!

Exactly, it’s just what I feel I want atm. Thank you!
