That's great and all, but man that garage seems giant 🤤

Hah it’s just a standard two car but I made sure to make room for the install. Honestly wish every garage I ever used including this one was bigger on the sides to avoid door dings.

Yeah, my house was built in 2008 and it's a VERY tight squeeze for my M3 and my wife's MY.

Finally. Someone adding a modest/paint matched front lip and lowering the vehicle. Do you have spacers for a flush fitment? I’m on my phone atm and I can’t tell if it’s flush or sunken. My LR has a similar set up as well and I like the more subtle mods that actually do something for the vehicle and also look cool. Enjoy the slight increase in mileage :)

Wow man. Kit looks awesome. Did the side skirts and lip already come painted?? Or did you have to get them painted once u got it?

Hey fellow M3 LR user, thank you! It’s not yet lowered as I wanted more clearance without using ramps to install the lip kit. I did up to this point without needing to raise the car. I’m running 18mm hub centric spacers in the rear and 15 in the front. It’s flush but I would have liked less poke up front by about 2-3mm. Unfortunately photon wheels don’t have the recess clearance where the studs fit behind for anything less than 15mm, fyi. Once my tires wear out I’ll likely find a set of wheels that is spec’d just right..

They came painted and surprisingly it’s matched very well despite the ultra red being difficult to match up. The accents are gloss black and also appear to be good quality. No chips or cracks or anything so far that I noticed.

Yea same here when my other cars are parked side by side. It’s actually a four car garage but it’s not seen in the photo. You may notice on the wall, I stuck some padding(black strip) that acts as a cushion to prevent door dings. It works very well for both sides, but just not when the wife decides to hit another car parked. 😅

Thank you, I had to have it MTO from a performance shop in Houston while searching for this specific kit/color. The body kit design is by Yofer.

I saw the Eibach box and assumed :P I also used eibach and paired them with the highland suspension and it was a wayyy better ride than the pre refresh stock. I keep wanting to get a set of rims with the proper fitment but I can’t decide on what to get. Originally I wanted to go BBS but the one I liked looks similar to the aero rims and I’m not looking to go bigger than 18”. I’m thinking gold RPF1s because I’ve yet to see them on a Tesla and it would change up the look quite a bit. What rims were you looking to get?

Haven’t really started the wheel journey for this car just yet but that usually involve tons of online research on what others are using but I am leaning towards 19x9.5 with bigger tires than oem spec novas. Going to see how things look after the drop and settling in before making a decision. The photon’s without wheel caps honestly don’t look half bad for now. Likely after my tires get worn down unless I get bored this year.
That said, I’ve never had any issues with hub centric spacers for other vehicles and don’t expect to with the Bonoss pieces I am using now.
The RPF-1’s are cool but I don’t think I’ve come across images of them on a newer M3. Personally never been a fan despite their popularity, even on older JDM builds. BBS wheels are nice too and there’s a few models I like similar to the factory rims new BMWs come with but don’t think they will look great on my M3 either. Although it’s not a popular opinion or the end of the world to use hub centric rings, you may want to consider a wheel mfg that uses a matching oem bore spec also. (64.1mm) the drawback being your choices become quite limited.

Tesla designers spend years sculpting the car to have as low a drag coefficient as possible.

Sounds like you don’t have much experience with modifying cars in general with a comment like that 😂 Aerodyamic kits (lips, spoilers etc) and lowering a vehicle are the biggest contributors to dropping drag coefficient further but most people don’t care about the benefit and do it purely for aesthetics. I personally don’t care about any of that hence the missing aero caps but I’m sure I benefitted from the upgrade even if minor.
Also this isn’t a cheap eBay splitter or universal EZ lip. I didn’t expect it but it’s a perfect fit and even uses oem mounting points. The parts are of high quality from what I could tell during the install. It’s atleast matching oem standards based on prior experience I have using factory lip kits purely for aesthetics also. (Eg: Acura and Honda a-spec kits, Mazda oem lip kit, BMW M and AMG parts) You realize all these companies offer their versions of such products as popular add on options right too?
While on the topic of cheap temu upgrades, you should consider getting a door seal rubber strip kit for your pre-highland. I recently added it to my already super quiet M3 and it actually made it quieter. I hear the road noise is pretty bad for your model and Tesla doesn’t offer the upgrade. 🤷

If you prefer direct bore, APEX and Titan 7 comes to mind. Can also be done with BC Forged as they are built to spec.

Thanks, I was looking for something along those lines and glad everything has gone well so far. also saw your comment regarding wheels. For sure, something for me to consider down the line. Appreciate the suggestions. 👍🏽

On most cars changing up the aero usually has a next to negligible benefit or even a slight decrease in performance. Most aftermarket intakes for ICE cars have this problem.
At the end of the day do what makes you happy. The paint matching is pretty on point on these.
Thanks for the tip on the seals, I’ve been meaning to get it done. Been a windy winter and it’s driving me crazy lol
I had a highland loaner while I had the AC condenser done and it felt incredible. They’ve come so far.

Thanks. Yes it did. The color match is really good as can be seen from this non processed photo I shared. It’s not perfect though but I’m happy with how close it is. Ultra red is very hard to match. Other colors would probably be even better!

Weird question but there’s a garage control and WiFi router up there too. There’s also this laser pointer device that helps position the cars on either side perfectly while parking, which is mainly for my wife. 😂
