Is this plastic protective film

I just got a Model 3 a few weeks ago and noticed this. Is there a film to peel here on the side Pilar. You sort of see the air bubbles there leading me to believe so but I didn't try to peel

That's a solid piece of glass that has film from the factory. If it's film, it'll come off. If it's not film, you can't damage it unless it's shattered. Remove it.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot!

I left mine on for 6 months lol. I thought they had removed all of the plastic film but they had forgotten one on the passenger side.

Just the protective film from the factory. The dealer prep guys probably forgot it.

I was driving around with a film in the right pillar / camera until it started to bubble up. That’s when I realized that they forgot to peel it off from the factory before delivery. The film is like what you get for a new iPhone… I mean, some people keep it on there for as long as it doesn’t interfere with functionality

It definitely was! I just took it off. Seems to me they always forget the passenger side!

Yes it’s a film, had this exact thing on my car and they forgot to remove it on delivery, no one noticed until i took it in for service to replace and the advisor was like hold up. Peeled it back to show a fresh sheet of glass
