Hello everyone! I have officially bought a Tesla Model 3! Super excited. I’m just posting here to ask if there is any accessories, I should get for it. For example, I am going to get a screen protector and floor mats. Anything else yall think is useful, please let me know. Thank you!

All weather floor mats are a must, to prevent occasional oopsies on the interior or destroying your trunk carpet. Plenty of good options between $100-200. I'd recommend specifically *matte* screen protectors. I have it on both of my Teslas and they're good for smooth swiping gestures and reducing glare. Mud flaps (front and rear) are good for reducing splash on the mid section skirt and also the rear bumpers. Makes hand washing the car easier for me. But make sure to grab some flexible or high quality ones for the front. I bought cheap hard plastic ones for my second Model 3 and they rubbed so hard on the uneven sections of highway that they came off... Storage organizers are optional. I really only need the one divider in the center storage cubby to make it more organized, but the one in the armrest proved to be less than useful. A larger and more durable storage drive for your dashcam is good. I find the 128GB drive to be a little limited and instead use a 1TB Samsung T7 SSD. It's a little pricey but you can find other options that are larger than the factory one.

Can I ask why the 128gb is limiting? Do you not go through and delete all footage once you’re nearing the storage limit?

ctzn4 2026-01-05 07:28

It's definitely a personal preference. I click the dashcam button a lot (to record shenanigans on the road) and having the much larger drive allows me to keep clicking without worrying about hitting the storage limit, which I often do when I unplug the 128GB drive for a footage dump. I also just keep them on the drive instead of unloading them to my PC. Bit of a nerdy nitpick requirement if I think too much about it, so I agree with you in that sense - just empty the drive once in a while and it will be more than enough.

Ryobi cordless hoover. Best purchase yet. I can quickly give the car a quick clean in two minutes. I keep it upfront along with the same branded hand compressor. I also purchased an accurate tire pressure gauge.

Get one of those handheld electric tire pumps. One of the best things I’ve bought. I’ll check my tire pressures in my cars ones a month. People will go months without airing up their tires. Next thing you know, your tires pressure is 10-15psi too low.

Spare tire. [Modern Spare](https://modernspare.com/?utm_source=MaxConnect&utm_medium=PaidSearch&utm_term=modern%20spare%20tire&utm_campaign=MaxConnect_SelfBranded&kudos_platform=Google&kudos_source=MaxConnect&kudos_medium=PaidSearch&kudos_adid=690200479151&gad_source=1)

Intelligent_Sun2837 2026-01-05 12:03

Does this one needs to be formatted?

ctzn4 2026-01-05 12:21

Just format it in the car and you'll be fine.

DaCody_98 2026-01-05 12:59

I’m lookin at getting some mudflaps for my 23 model 3. Any you recommend specifically? I’ve been looking at the spine kit so far.

Fragrant-Ad-5517 2026-01-05 13:21

Invest in a clear PPF at least on the front bumper and hood. My 2023 Tesla Model 3’s front bumper is rock-chipped pretty bad.

Training-Pineapple-7 2026-01-05 13:26

Mud flaps.

There’s like a hundred YouTube videos on this.

Lemanoftherus90 2026-01-05 14:59

Matte screen protector is a must. Keeps the glare down quite a bit. Also good shades for the top glass if you're in a hot climate. In flordia they keep my car from going to climate protector mode by a few hours during the summer.

Get a charging adapter J077 to Tesla, never know when you’ll need it (keep in the glove compartment) A center console cover and steering wheel cover . Window Tints preferably ceramic .

Sufficient-Ad9979 2026-01-06 04:02

Tinted Windows!!

Millyan-512 2026-01-06 05:39

A cup holder insert that will actually hold cups/cans still!

ChrissTea86 2026-01-06 08:49

Flat tire repair kit and air pump.

Razer1651 2026-01-06 16:20

I know, but sometimes those videos are trying to sell you a product of some sorts. I wanted to get info from people who actually own one to see what is really useful

3903Orchard 2026-01-06 17:03

Yes that’s often the case however if you stick the most popular Tesla YouTubers they will disclose sponsorship.

miseler 2026-01-06 19:50

Tinted windows, lowering springs, carbon dashboard insert, black Tesla badges instead of the chrome one’s, trunk mat and you’re good to go. Worked perfectly fine for me 😉

pipinngreppin 2026-01-06 21:21

I like the Jowua charger thingy with the retractable cable. And their controllers. Don’t even mess with cheapo controllers unless you want to constantly repair

colin8651 2026-01-07 02:34

Get one of these Tesla plastic locks that prevents people from disconnecting your power cable when charging at non-Tesla chargers. https://a.co/d/7TBASWW

EitherCharacter9342 2026-01-07 03:49

Fanttik is a great one

MetalHead888 2026-01-07 12:48

All weather floor matts. 100 bucks for the Amazon special for 6 pieces and they fit perfectly. Everyone should have them. Mudflaps - look nice and protect from rock chips Under screen storage - perfect for sunglasses Storage trays for center console and armrest - 100% needed to make use of the deep storage Seat back covers if you have kids that like to put their feet up on the back of the seat. Tablet holder for backseat Trunk hook - haven't really used it but I'm sure I'll find a good use for it one day Rechargeable motion sensor closet light - put it on the underside of the frunk. This has been especially useful since I put all my dirty work stuff in there and arrive early in the morning in a dark parking lot.

iKnowRobbie 2026-01-07 15:18

Or a jack, patch kit, and pump. I prefer those.

iKnowRobbie 2026-01-07 15:21

Either get the front intake filter or expect a radiator cleaning. Having air intake at road level is stupid. There's a two-piece snap together cover that puts a fine screen over the gaping intake so you can catch leaves and bugs and prevent snow from piling in the radiator. Also, in their infinate wisdom they put seals on the sides of the frunk only. It allows water to seep into the fresh air intake and the drain gets clogged making water spill into the heat exchanger. They make a full gasket for the frunk, I highly recommend that too. '22 owner here, YMMV

Mysterious-Maize307 2026-01-07 18:33

I carry those as well, and my preference is to add air until I can get to a tire store. In many hundreds of thousands of miles of driving I’ve had plenty of tires with slow leaks that I could add air to and keep going. But in two occasions (both within the last few years lol) I’ve hit something, one was a garden hoe that fell off a truck a few cars in front and and the other was unknown since it was pitch black. Both occurred on the highway at 75 MPH plus. In both of those cases there was no way to add air and even the tire store could not repair it. In both cases I put in the spare and was back on road in 15 minutes perhaps less as I also carry a pneumatic lift and power wrench. I’m in the highway a lot, often at night in mountain roads with limited cell coverage and a 1-2 hour wait for AAA or Tesla. A spare, for me anyway, is an absolute necessity and well worth having because when you need it you need it.

VicAltman 2026-01-07 23:34

Tints are a must!!

Swimming_Nose4713 2026-01-07 23:47

Screen protector seems like a waste of money. It's not a phone that you're carrying around with you.

senpaiyuma 2026-01-12 00:53

Does the car not tell you the air pressure?
