I believe so. Might need to remove the stand though.

theycallmeOTC 2026-01-01 14:12

What stand?

ScottRoberts79 2026-01-01 14:13

The feet that hold the tv upright if it’s sitting somewhere?

theycallmeOTC 2026-01-01 14:15

Yup that is removed, but the TV is in a box.

ScottRoberts79 2026-01-01 14:16

Might need to take it out of the box. Hard to know without the specific dimensions of the tv you have. Or just fold the back seats. That’s the easiest way.

I fit a 65” with the seats down in the trunk.

But I have two more check in bags with me. If I fold the seats down, would I have space for the two bags and a Tv?

slasher016 2026-01-01 14:58

Put the bags in the passenger seat and fold down the seats.

theycallmeOTC 2026-01-01 15:03

Well the front two seats will be occupied. I don’t assume you can accommodate two bags and a TV after folding the seats then.

slasher016 2026-01-01 15:05

Depends on the size of the bags. Passenger can put one in the footwell and hold the other.

MistaFANG 2026-01-01 15:07

Only one way to find out. Don’t forget you also have a frunk (unsure about size of the bags)

I'd measure out and give few spare inches.

some TV's are supposed to be transported upright only. The display panel might be too fragile against bumps and potholes if it is laid flat.

ducmite 2026-01-01 18:43

That gets old really fast... we drove to a lan party in the late 90's and one guy had to sit in the back with a CRT monitor in his lap. It wasn't even a long ride but he was done :D

ScottRoberts79 2026-01-01 18:59

Technically true. But the risk is pretty low. Especially if you put padding underneath it.

You got a new boxed 65" TV in your M3 and was able to close the trunk. I just bought a 65 in TV and try to get it in my 2024 M3. It wouldn't get past the opening behind the seats after I lowered them.
