FSD will likely not work since it’s Geo-Fenced. This car also only has the basic Autopilot integrated and not FSD enabled. I believe you need to swap SIM cards and adjust software installation to enable any cellular features on the car.

Where is FSD geo-fenced?

bara9880 2025-12-31 11:59

Is this something I can do myself or the dealer / tesla ? Does the subscription transfer or do I then have to pay it separately?

By country because of varying laws

RawPeanut99 2025-12-31 13:34

If Tesla doesn't have a presence in Jodan there is no way for it to work fully. You need to go to the nearest service center and let them make it compatible with that country, not something you can diy because it means Tesla registering that car in their databases. FSD will also not work, that only works in North America and Australia, Europe maybe next year after Tesla has been there over a decade.

here's the basic of it...it not completely correct...but it'll lead you down the right rabbit hole. I have reached out and booked an appointment, will see how it goes

Thanks ! Very informative

You can also bypass FSD completely and use OpenPilot via a Comma 4 if it becomes too much of a hassle to enable it in your country.

istealpixels 2025-12-31 15:21

But just to be clear, this car currently does not have FSD, you still have to buy it.

bara9880 2025-12-31 15:50

Any videos or a good source for it ?

bara9880 2025-12-31 15:51

Aha I see , I guess Im just looking for navigation on the screen at least

istealpixels 2025-12-31 16:21

This has autosteer, double pull on the drive stalk activates that.

bara9880 2025-12-31 17:06

Yes autosteer works , put you can't get navigation to work without connectivity even with wifi

So what's the closest country you can book an appointment in?

bara9880 2026-01-01 09:21

Apparently in jordan / the capital amman

Human-Exam-8585 2026-01-01 16:37

Just connect the Tesla wifi to your mobile hotspot on your phone. The navigation will come alive

bara9880 2026-01-01 16:48

It only loads the maps , but the navigation button is grayed out

rakgi 2026-01-01 16:53

It will never work. Tesla will not even touch it because it is not from their region. You messed up.

bara9880 2026-01-01 17:31

Ive contacted them before and they transfered the ownership and were pretty cooperative, I've booked an appointment maybe they do have a way to change the modem

rakgi 2026-01-01 23:16

I have a friend who brought his tesla from the US to france and the french tesla techs refuse to service it.

bara9880 2026-01-01 23:30

Damn thats weird

abgtw 2026-01-02 06:15

Don't listen to that guy, its a crazy idea. Just fix the sim card and use regular (free) autopilot.

Officaly? No If you know where to ask? Yes, there are plenty "experts" out there who make a living on this
