Looking for recommendations on decent interior & exterior products and tools. 2023 Model 3 Midnight Silver Metallic. Planning on hand washing as much as possible, so what specific soaps, waxes, towels, etc. Doesn't have to be the absolute best products, not what the "pros" use, I just want to keep the car looking the best I can keep it without spending $500 on cleaning/detailing every month.

I use Chemical Guys Blacklight with a foam canon and a few times a year I wipe down with Turtle Wax Ceramic spray coating. I’m happy with how it does with my 22 midnight silver. Basic microfiber wash sponge, a bug scrub sponge for the front end and a 20 year old Absorber to dry it off.

I use a rinseless wash and the car looks immaculate after 3.5 years. Use fluffy microfiber towels and be sure to wash them on cold with Castile soap/orange degreaser/vinegar and air dry no heat for them to retain their softness. Use quality water too so you don’t get hard water spots.

I use 70% isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth on my interior for my 22M3LR

ONR (Optimum No Rinse) works for the interior and exterior at different strengths. I have big messy trees in my driveway and ONR lets me wash my M3 in my garage. I use two buckets with grates in the bottom, one with ONR, and one with clean water for rinsing the sponge. The sponge I use from The Rag Company (Amazon) is called “ultra safe” and awesome. It’s designed for no-rinse washes. I also use a small pump sprayer (filled with the same solution from the ONR bucket) and spray a few sections ahead before washing and drying. Those giant bags of yellow towels at Costco are amazing. I’m able to use clean dry towels on every section.

Mix dish soap with water & chuck a rag in it for the interior. Recommended by Von Holzhausen himself.

r/autodetailing is a good place for this question, try searching there I've learned from pan the organizer on youtube. I lean toward a "contact wash" not "rinseless", use a pH neutral soap, fiber wash mit, wash panels in the correct order, use a car dryer. You can also use clean microfiber waffle towels to dry. \- chemical guys wash or mckees n-914 for rinseless \- microfiber 16" x 16" (not 12") towels (8 sides to a towel) microfiber wholesalers. \- interior 303 cleaner \- Meguiar's glass cleaner \- carpro quick detailer after the car is dry
