Loving the new 2026 Model 3 Performance

Very nice! I want one so bad. I even bought Tesla stock last year, and sold it after it doubled so that my car would be free. Now, I just can't pull the trigger. Ugh, I have issues with spending money.

An epic ride. After going ultra red with white seats, that is forever my default for every other Tesla I have in the future. Beautiful contrast.

Is this the 2026 Model 3 Performance? Was your built in Fremont, Shanghai or Berlin? You should use the warranty and get this repainted asap.

2025 Model 3 from Fremont, going to the body shop that had done work for me on a prior Tesla that I trust Monday to get an opinion from them before my appointment with Tesla on January 10th Not sure if it’s rust or just a faulty paint job but if it is rust, the shop told me they would order a new trunk because Russ is clearly like cancer as they say and spreads If it is not Ross, I guess they could sand it down and re-spray it, but we’ll figure it out soon

Yeah, either way I would also do something about it. If that's rust then I wouldn't also want that to be repainted, no guarantee that it won't come back. Hopefully your situation will be solved soon. I just think it's sad that this can pass QC of such expensive vehicles. I heard that Berlin factory is best when it comes to quality of Teslas, then Shanghai and then Fremont in third place, that's why I asked which factory you was from.

Agreed, love Tesla’s, but their quality control is terrible and I get their a new vehicle but at some point this stuff is getting ridiculous charge half the price then for a shotty car and you won’t hear any complaints from consumers, if it’s rust I’m 100% getting a new trunk and then they will repaint it if not, I will fight until I get what I want, we’ll keep you updated and thank you for your help.

Yeah, this is a case were you really have to be a demanding and "annoying" customer or else they will choose their solution. Really hope this turns out in the best way possible! Yes, please update us.

Thank you and definitely will keep you updated, I am not worried as when I purchased my first Tesla in 2021 there was polyurethane on the B pillar going up the windshield and because the car was white I didn’t see it and the polyurethane was black, Tesla asked me to bring it back and they scraped it off which ended up destroying that part of the paint and they had to re-spray it, I went to Tesla two separate times before I decided I was not letting them work on it again, found my own independent Tesla Certified Body Shop and they did the work and they did a great job, I also had to have them do other work two years later on the driver door panel that was rubbing against the body and created some surface rust, I know Tesla will do the right thing, but I have to obviously fight so willing to do that and have experience with it unfortunately but fortunately, lol

Thanks, totally agree! I was going to go with white interior too but ended up with black for the more sportier look and black sides. Can't go wrong with either though!

I love it, quality inside is amazing. I have been in older ones and they don't have the same premium look or feel.

That's also my experience with Tesla Service Centers. Tesla Certified Body Shops has always done the job better, quicker and correct.
